The alleged deal with NE was before he signed this contract. His cap hit now is like $20 million per year for the next four years.

Me saying more/better/higher is not limited to this years draft. Maybe they are offering multiple picks over the next 2-3 years. Or a couple pick swaps. Their window to make a run is while Mayfield is on his rookie deal.

If traded his cap hits for the next 4 years are 17m, 14.2m, 15.7m and 15m. He is not even close to 20m in any of those years as the Giants would eat the signing bonus.
