Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

I would think it would completely depend. If they simply stopped all cars leaving the establishment it will be thrown out. If the officers watched the deeds being done, then radioed down to other patrolmen that the old guy getting in the fancy car was caught on film doing something, stop him and get his id, then it might. I don't know and don't really care.

In Maine they had a big prostitution bust a few years back. A zoomba "instructor" in her studio was doing it. The police only prosecuted the guys who they had more than one image of and they could positively ID them with the pictures and records she kept. It isn't a slam dunk no matter what you might think, especially since these are minor cases as far as the DA's go, and my guess is Kraft will have one of the top lawyers in the country, with an unlimited amount of money to fight it.

Krafts lawyer is Barry Sheck most likely. Scratch that. It’s goldberger

I’m no fan of Bob Kraft but this take is flat out stupid.
Promotional sales and merchandising usually correspond with market size, but moreso team success, that is, winning.

After two consecutive 2-14 seasons, the 49ers have done just fine since they got Joe Montana, and they didn't change anything.

In fact, when they did try to in 1989, they got the same outraged, negative response from fans that Patriots fan gave (when they were asked).

Kraft kept the team in NE, hired two HOF coaches, and was wise enough to give up control of football operations to Belichick. As much of a dbag as he can be as a person he’s been an exceptional owner as the Patriots have gone from laughingstock to the greatest team in NFL history.

Read on google about krafts lawyer. Goldberger wins almost every time

I have no problem with saying he hired a tough lawyer, but once again WTF does his faith have to do with anything?

Then why such a drastic change of the logo?
Other NFL teams have change cities and still not had the level of “change” the Patriots did.
A few bad years and you rip it up and start over?

All of those things are true. He is a good owner. He screwed up with Parcells/Greer.
Going to the complete anti-Parcells in Pete Carroll was a headscratcher.
Yes, BB is the greatest thing that ever happened to him.

I honestly don’t care about the logo, I still like the old one more, but he had the right to make the change, and the results in the field should matter far more to any real fan.

As far as franchises changing cities and keeping their name and logo that’s what is truly stupid. Franchises create their identities around the cities they settle in, when they leave town they should be required to change their name and logo, while leaving the original as the domain forbthat city, should they wish to keep it, the Cleveland / Baltimore swap was a great example of this . Indy should not be the Colts.

I was responding to your comment about wanting to turn the page from the difficult years the franchise had just gone through before the Krafts took over.
No one is questioning who has the right to do what.
“Real” fans cheer for their team no matter what. All the more reason to keep the logo and uniforms.

I actually didn’t know who Myra Kraft was until her death. I live in the Midwest.
I feel like the Krafts really glorified her and her death “my sweetheart,” etc.
I wonder if that was legit or if it was just more marketing, public relations, etc.
I don’t know what to make of these things.

Frankly, I wouldn't worry about it. People can be complicated. But there's nothing complicated about the fact that the Patriots are one of the most successful franchises in the history of professional sports. Enjoy it.

I would guess it had to do more with sales than a break from the past.

I just tracked back the information that supposedly connects this Kraft mess to Easterby's leaving. I don't see anything in the press other than speculation because of the timing, and one retweet he did of a statement that summarized the situation with human trafficking worldwide. His contract ended with 2018. So this appears to be nothing more than speculation masquerading as journalism, swallowed whole by some Pats fans forum members who use it as an opportunity to spout vitriol about the man.

Kraft didn't change the logo. Orthwein did. Kraft bought the team on 1994, Flying Elvis was already there
.

Correct and the out of date = 'poor sales' BS being pushed at the time was just that. Slow sales were due to the combination of embarrassing ownership, fear the team was moving and a lousy record. James 'Otis the Carpetbagger' Orthwein bought the Pats with the intention of moving them to St Louis. The logo change was just a small part of the overarching plan to make the team more palatable to his hometown. Also while we're fact checking, unless someone believes Pete Carroll is a HOF HC, Kraft has hired ONE of them. Otis hired Parcells, he and FE debuted here in the same year. In the end the onerous lease the Sullivans crafted to give the stadium an inflated value they could then borrow their way to oblivion against, due to Kiam's almost equally empty pockets, was in Krafty Bob's hands and thanks to him the Pats weren't going anywhere. Don't feel too bad for ol' Otis though, St Louis ended up renting the Rams and the team he paid $106M for in '92 he sold to Kraft for $172M in 94, not too shabby.

He’s a public figure so it’s going to get coverage.
Seems quite clear he is guilty so he will probably plead to a lesser offense and pay a fine.
You would have to explain in what way you are referring to that it is blown out of proportion for me to answer.
Any misdemeanor is a minor offense no matter who is charged. Just look at the other men charged and compare the coverage. They all committed the same offense so the level of added coverage for Kraft is the measuring stick for how far this has blown out of proportion

I literally LOL’d.
