Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

I disagree. If he did not know the women working in that spa were likely trafficking victims he is either dumb as rocks or he was drunk.
He gave 100K to an anti trafficking chain 2015.
Does he give 100K to a charity like that without trying to leran anything about the issue.

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he has PR people that say “hey Bob, this would look good for us if we throw them 100k” and he never thinks about it again. That’s pennies to him.

Amazingly, I read that he is out in LA tonight at all the pre Oscar parties.

It’s called “**** you money” for a reason.

Sorry to say but of all that was caught he is taking the worst beating in the press. The NFL can't and won't allow this.

Go Pats

If I’m Kraft I’m calling a press conference this week. Admit to his actions. Say he had no clue those girls were involved in sex trafficking and he feels horrible for them. Say he’s making a sizeable donation to a sex trafficking charity which he’s already supported and that he will look to help the girls who were kept at that spa. If they are legally able to stay in the country he will buy them a condo and help them get real employment. Try to turn a bad into a good for them.
I was thinking he should do the same thing, except you do a sit down interview one on one, not an open press conference.

He could probably even gain a great deal of sympathy over the whole thing if he plays the role of sad old man.

that's called "Playing A Smollett"

It's not a murder trial. The amount of time it's in the news is the same either way. If he pleads guilty the NFL will definitely add a fine/suspension and that will look even worse for him and the team.

Any "video evidence" they have presumably is of the sexual activity. That alone isn't proof of a crime. Kraft would be foolish to cave (although given his past track record it wouldn't shock me if he did.)

I disagree. He fights this in court then every court appearance or development is news. He admits it, makes a charity donation, it’s done. Only thing after that will be his NFL punishment.

Video evidence of a hand job may not be proof enough but it would kill him publicly. Also, I believe the police report said the payment for the hand jobs took place after the job was done. So he pays the house when he goes in for a massage and then pays the girl for the hand job which is on video. Pretty hard to defend that. Put this to bed ASAP.

Kraft’s had his ups and downs over the years. He’s done a lot of good things for the league, more than a lot of other owners. But this one is going to leave a mark for awhile.

I think back to Eugene Robinson on the eve of the Atlanta Denver superbowl and how he got caught with a prostitute. By all accounts this was a great guy, community guy, won the Bart Star award that year. (which he promptly returned) At any rate, all that he accomplished over that long career was pretty much marred by one incident. Fair or unfair.

Kraft’s got a lot of work to do if tapes surface and he’s found guilty. please or even if the case is dismissed. Possibly suspended? Who knows?

I’m of the opinion that we are all human, do and say the wrong things sometimes, and once in awhile make big mistakes. Not everyone of course has done what he’s done, but I’m not sure what kind of person I’d be, with billions in the bank. He doesn’t deserve my sympathy, but he doesn’t earn my judgement either. If it was proven without a doubt that he somehow knew about trafficking, that would probably change though.

The older I get the less I want to absorb my time and energy into these these type of dealings, Kardashians, Rob Parker, Max Kellerman, it’s just becoming noise to me. Just like to watch the Patriots play football.

There won't be more than one court appearance. Solicitation is a very minor offense. Admitting anything just guarantees harsher league punishment and makes him looks worse. His best option is making it clear he's willing to put more resources into this than Palm Beach County would. The courts aren't going to waste their time over a few hundred dollar fine.

I am not sure that is his plan. I agree with you and I have asked in this thread why he is even issuing a statement that no-one believes. I stated that Kraft should come clean and move on. But I think McCann's comments reveal the answer. Kraft issued a statement that he did nothing illegal. I think he is protecting himself from a clause in the NFL's owners agreement - if he did something illegal than I am guessing from McCann's comments that the NFL owner's agreement allows the other owners to vote Kraft out (which means he would have to sell the Patriots). Doubtful but possible I think. And Bend Over Bob cares more about his ownership than his legacy (or Brady and Deflategate). So his lawyers and he are trying to weave a defense that Kraft did nothing illegal. He paid the $79 for a massage and left a tip but never paid for the tug - something like that where he accepts a legal settlement with the court as long as the settlement states that he did nothing illegal. That way there is no recourse under the NFL's owners agreement for him to lose the Patriots. That is what I think is going on.

If someone already stated this my apologies for repeating - I did not read every page.

I heard a report that said there was no sex involved with any of the Johns and almost all were hand jobs.
First I've heard of it, can you provide a link? What's odd is that info could only come from the police. Also odd that men would go there and pay for just a wank.

If the owners haven't voted Irsay and Haslam out they aren't voting Kraft out.

It's in this NY times article. It states that all men charged at the massage parlor either received manual or oral stimulation only.

Also here is link to very detailed police report

I too, read a statement where the DA had claimed that no sexual intercourse had taken place, although I’m not sure where to find the link because it came during yesterday’s flurry of news reports.

Can’t say that I heard any hint of whether it was a HJ or a BJ, aside from the DA claiming that there was “graphic” footage on the tape including a post-action clean up. For me, that tends to suggest HJ, but it certainly isn’t definitive, either.

i dont know how you can say that with any confidence. after what the league has done to the team.

See the police report linked to earlier in this thread.

The report clinically but graphically describes all the sex acts that were filmed by the investigation's surveillance cameras. Defendants are not referred to by name but just as Male Defendant 12 and the like.

Read the report linked to earlier in this thread. There's a paragraph or two description of what was going on with each john caught on tape, since the sex acts were also filmed.

He officially has proclaimed his innocence, which pretty much compels him to proceed as though it's true.
If he's out partying tonight then I've got new found respect for him after yesterday's news. He's got bigger balls than I thought.

He definitely doesn't GAF what the Indignation Squad in this forum or anywhere else thinks. Good for him, he's got nothing to be ashamed of, he's his own man and doesn't owe anyone any excuses.

If anyone had said a week ago we’d be contemplating whether Robert Kraft got a * or a blowjob I’d say you got to be crazy!

Stupid is an understatement.

Kraft is not like the average ordinary guy. He should know more about sex trafficking than 99% of regular guys looking to get off. Florida is one of the states with the biggest problems with sex trafficking, that is why they held the undercover operation.

I think lazy and arrogant decsribes him better. Perhaps he did not know....but he should have much more so than others.
If he had bothered to learn about the issue when he gave the 100K to the charity in 2015, he would have learned back then that massage parlours, especially in Florida are an extremely common place where workers are victims of trafficking.
Maybe he's a little bit busy making billions, who knows. Not everyone has the time to get a PhD in sex trafficking like you have along with apparently a PhD in Kraft's mind since you seem to know him so well.
