Might as well start it now!

Rumors of OBJ to Pats with this tweet (I do not believe it, I doubt it will happen!)...

How do you guys feel about the Kyler Murray idea of us trading up for him? I'm against it only because what it would take in terms of draft picks that we desperately need to get young talent on an aging roster.

Get OBJ, it’s just the splash at WR that is needed. His contract is actually pretty reasonable when you factor in the $20 mil signing bonus already paid out by the Giants.

After seeing Joe Flacco going to Denver for a mid round pick.. great time for speculation, anything is possible.

OBJ in a Pats uniform, might have to take a mood stabilizer though..

OBJ doesn’t even like to stay hydrated. He’s constantly cramping up and needing IVs because he claims that he’s not able to deal with the “squishy” feeling in his stomach from drinking water. He just doesn’t care for water.

I’m not making this up. He’s still a great talent, but he may have more issues than Antonio Brown does. If we’re throwing around pipe dream hypotheticals, AJ Green is a physical beast and he goes up and comes down with the ball. He’d be a difference maker.

I already said it in a different thread. But if you want a low percentage big time trade scenario then I'd be all on the Pats going for AJ Green.

Bengals having a new coach ? Check.
Player in the final year of his contract ? Check.
Team might value draft picks over 1 year of a player they won't resign ? Check.
Big time outside threat ? Check.

I'm against it because he can just decide he's bored of sitting on the bench and go play baseball at any moment, he will always have that leverage over whoever drafts him.

If we "desperately need" young talent on an aging roster, let's not cash in 5 or 6 draft picks to get one guy who may or may not work out.

Considering the state of the FA WR market:

Sammy Watkins 16 million per
Allen Robinson 14 million per
Marqise Lee 8.5 million per
Albert Wilson 8 million per
Paul Richardson 8 million per
Taylor Gabriel 6.5 million per

I can buy into the idea of BB trying to acquire an elite WR that post trade would carry cap hits of 10-14 million a year. The value just isn’t there via free agency.

I know a guy who can solve that hydration issue for him

Taylor Gabriel might be worth a look at that price.

Love Kyler. Great attitude and very fun to watch. But I wouldn't surrender a draft to do it. Besides, he's going to have to tone down his running a TON in the NFL or, at his size, he's going to get killed.

If he doesn't drink water then how does he avoid sunburns??
