Rams’ Robey-Coleman: Age has taken a toll on Brady

At the media event...Robey is now saying it was taken out of context. HAHAHAHA too late now! I bet McVay told him to STFU!

Yeah I can just hear the Pats locker room now.

“You guys, it was taken out of context! Let’s cut Robey a break.

Guess we’ll have to find something else to motivate us now!”

I am glad Cook responded. Cook is diva, he knows how to get pass interferences without being touched. Eagles figured out how to fix that in the Super Bowl last year (kicked his a** out of the game)

Cooks has a right to talk a little smack with Patrick Chung. Those guys went after each other in Patriots uniforms, so...whatever. Aqib Talib was a Patriot, too. That stuff is a lot different than the NR-C nonsense.

NR-C is going to a) get targeted a lot against Edelman (who will kick his ass), b) get thrown out of the club when Gronk lines up in the slot, c) find himself in a mismatch in space with James White, and d) be on the wrong end of power run led by James Develin - probably in the first quarter. A slot corner is the last guy to be talking smack against the Patriots. No team in the history of the NFL has feasted on defenses at the slot position like the Patriots.

He’s going to be on Edelman

NR-C will find a lot of different people in the slot. It's what the Patriots do. Gronk, Edelman, White, Burkhead, Patterson and Develin all line up in the slot. I bet BB has a play with Hightower in the slot the way Mike Vrabel would line up at the goal line. NR-C is in for a long day.

I’m surprised any Pats fan would dispute that players fuel themselves with bulletin board material, let alone be so adamant about it. Of course they do.

It might be you’re stuck on the word “fully.” Players, certainly the greats, have a boundless capacity for more motivation. They don’t get full. Tom Brady certainly doesn’t, which is why a Rams cb calling him old makes so many of us giddy.

None of this matters. Nobody will run faster, jump higher or read the defenses more sharply because a below average corner dared to mention before the game that Brady is getting old. Similarly, nobody on the Rams will suddenly perform better because Chung announced his plans to win the SB and beat the other team.

Neither of the teams will purposefully go after the guys who provided the "bulletin material". If they do it is because they have identified a weakness in terms of ability.

This is all narrative driven horse ****, but people eat up the controversy.

Penny for your thoughts?

A day late and a dollar short.

5 cents doesnt buy what it used to.

Hey buddy, can you spare a nickel?

Always borrow money from a pessimist. He does expect to get paid back - quote unknown.

I don't fully understand how it is BBs fault for Welker being an ******* in a press conference. Blame the player for breaking the rules and not the coach for sticking to his principles and holding them up. No matter if it is Welker, Revis or Butler. Rules are rules.. you gotta build a culture somehow.

Punishment is fine, but I think that BB could have chosen a different way to do that. Of course it's only my opinion but I think that sitting him unexpectedly seemed to be the wrong approach and caught the team off guard.

He was a prick in Buffalo too. I'm sure there are plenty on that team who remember that (including Gronkowski who made him his ***** more than once).

Belichick handled that poorly, as he’s done a few times over the years (Seymour).

Nah he did exactly the right thing. Culture is the most important thing. It is what wins Championships. You don't bend the rules for preseason games, regular season game and certainly not the SB. If anything you are even more strict about the postseason.

I thought N-RC looked like the deer in the headlights when he was talking to Michael Irvin last night. He knew he eff'd up and clearly had been told to STFU. Funny thing was the Rams GM was sitting on the set, waiting and watching the kid's comments.

Well Mr Tom Brady and Mr Randy Moss destroyed him.

Saw this on NFLN this morning ... Yup, Brady to Moss ... Must have had it confused with one of the other countless times Brady punked their secondary.

There was another where they ran a high low read on the safety’s and Troy Poloumeau bit on the crosser and it set up the deep post

Nah, he screwed up.
