This might be the best OL of the Brady run.

They are playing absolutely lights out right now and have been the secret ingredient putting us over the top in these playoffs.

They shut out the likes of Ingram, Bosa, Ford, Houston and Jones. Brady was hit just once vs KC and no sacks. Against the Chargers he wasn't sacked and barely touched. They have stone walled some of the best pass rushers the NFL has to offer.

On top of that they've pushed around the DLs on the ground. The only negative play they had in this run was not making that 4th and one vs KC when they needed it. Besides that key stop they've absolutely bowled over defenses and have gotten short yardage when needed while opening up holes for big chunks.

155 yards vs LAC and helped punch 4 TDs in. 176 yards vs KC and helped punch in another 4 TDs.

There have been some pretty good OLs for this team over they years but this unit is playing the best out of all the ones I've seen.

They have a tough test next week vs the combination of Donald and Suh. We may as well finish the year facing the single best pass rusher in the NFL. I know I should be worried, but honestly with how this group is playing it's hard to imagine them losing more than a few snaps all game.

I've been following the Pats since Fairbanks/Plunkett, and there have been some very good - and in some cases, record-breaking - offensive lines here, but what our OL accomplished yesterday was one of the most impressive one-game performances I can remember seeing, perhaps as far back as the 1985 AFCC in Miami. We'll likely need all of that effort - and then some - against Monkey Kong & the rest of Sonofabum's defense.

Considering the Pats moved away from Solder and Cam Fleming and lost Isaiah Wynn to IR, you’d think they would have big problems at the Tackle position.

This line is solid in both pass protection and run blocking which is rare. Agreed that this might be the best line of the Brady era.

Hell this might be the best blocking team period during this run. Develin, Gronk, and Allen have been great, and even at the WR position there’s guys who are just as willing to make a block as they are to make a catch.

It is well worth the $10M a year that it will take to re-sign Brown and actually have this line be better in 2019 (with Wynn returning).

The only other use of cap resources on offense is to sign receivers. The RB's are all set. We are fine at QB, although we could use a draft choice.

There are issues at TE, but any changes will be cap savings from Gronk and Allen.

How does it stack up to Light-Mankins-Koppen-Neal-Kaczur in your opinion? Curious

I don't know what they did to Brown to make him better in this playoff run so far, that guy was usually good during the first half, and becomes an holding plenty drawing machine during the regular season. The past 2 games however, he hasn't got any of that. They must have promised him unlimited ice cream for life or something for that...

Brown's probably the weak link on this line if we're talking facts. If Brady didn't get the ball out as quick as he did, Brown wouldn't be getting a lot of love. He loses quite a few matchups (albeit against excellent players).

No. Not this year for sure. Solder has way underplayed his new Giants contract.

Just like...Shane Vereen. Dude thought waaaay to much of himself. In fact, thank you to both Nate and Shane. Brown has been very good and Shane who? Where you at now?

Oh yeah....James White took a team friendly deal AFTER he smoked it in SB 51. Thank god Vereen left. He was good...White is just better.

Playoffs wise, they are right up there. Not sure which Super Bowl season it was, either 2003 or 2004, but one of those teams gave up ZERO sacks in the playoffs AND Super Bowl. That was amazing. It would be great if they can tie that Pat's team record.

There’s one play where Gronk is on DE, and let’s him go and then Trent Brown clears it up. It’s one of the best bits of line play I have seen the way it transitions.

Another play is Trent Brown destroying and I mean destroying Chris Jones, if anyone can find the footage would be good if not il see if I can

I am not upset they walked away from Solder at $16M. Is Solder even better than Brown?
No. And, 16m is more than this entire line's cap hit.

Belichick can't draft. Thuney in 3rd, Shaq and Marcus in 5th. Andrews
was a premium UDFA his draft year. Hate it when he trades to. Except
when he gets Brown for nothing more than moving down. A very good
play for essentially nothing. Because, he also ended up with Bentley on
the pick he got for dealing down.

Been saying this all season. They've been amazing and we need it, probably more so than ever, for this last game of the year.

They were darn good. But Mankins got taken to the cleaners in SB 42 & SB 46. Great player. But those two games stick out like a sore thumb.

Also, Bosa said he was able to get to Brady. But Brady gets rid of it too quickly. So it might be a combination of good blocking, but Brady getting rid of it fast.
Mankins was playing on a torn ACL in 46. Yes he didn't play well but he gets a pass as he was not the reason they lost.
