What has Mayfield won? Does Cleveland hand out trophies for winning 7 games?

Killer instinct of Mayfield nor Mahomes can be judged this early. But Mahomes is clearly more proven here as he showed with his 4th quarter heroics throughout the season and playoff win

Still, waaaay too early to judge either.

You win 7 games in Cleveland your getting a statue built.

Oh I totally understand why people are sick of the Pats and Brady... but the constant vilification, attempts to discredit and wishes for injury and death are and always will be illogical to me. I think the rise of the internet and social media have played a big part as well, the constant media attention combined with the ability to voice one's opinions to millions of people has created a perfect storm of Pats and Brady hatred.

Yup pretty much...the internet is where you can throw rocks and hide your hands. I bet you if social media was around during the MJs Bulls era it would be the exact same thing.

Oh man OP got crushed. Can’t remember a thread that had so many disagrees especially in this short a time.

Its because he's dead wrong...I don't know why the animosity towards Mahomes, we know that he's nothing like Brady and he's not even close to him in alot of different attributes. (He has a chance to be though, dude has massive potential).

Seems like OP feels threatened by Mahomes and wants to put him down as much as possible after a loss. Kicking a man while he's down I guess that's just the type of person OP is.

Wow, I feel bad for you if it warms up to 32 degrees, lol.

He played one hell of a HALF. 1st half: 4 completions, 65 yards, 0 points.

But that's not even the point I was making. Hell, without Brady's gift INT at the goal line, the Chiefs may very well have never taken the lead the whole night. Mahomes got his ass spanked in the first half.

On edit: not to mention all the sacks he took in the first half. One hell of a HALF would be more accurate, IMO.

28-3.

...with 4 SuperBowl rings and 7 SB appearances under his belt at the time, so nobody was truly truly surprised he pulled that off.. carry on...

(ignoring the obvious fact that TB12 actually WON that game, whereas Mahomes lost)

And there is your answer as to why Mahomes will never be Brady, because even TB12 at Mahomes age would have been entirely way too disappointed and pissed off to even look at the fans after just losing the season-ender at home, in a game he was favored to win.

Mahomes is a great player, but he's basically a kid and he does not understand quite yet what it takes to be great. Perhaps he will learn, but after seeing him high-five a few Chiefs fans on his way down to the tunnel after last night's game, I felt bad for Chiefs fans. Prepare for many more letdowns from this guy. JMHO..

46 Disagrees .... has to be a patsfans.com record ... congratulations.

I never said Brady couldn't throw just saying he does not have much of an arm anymore.
 I assume you watched the game last night, what the hell do you "think" you're seeing to reach that conclusion? He was throwing ropes all over the field. He was 30-of-46 for 348 yards. You are making no sense.

Brady is no longer the reason the Pats win, its becoming more about the scheme and Hoodie vs. Brady.
Unbelievable.

I know you have the blue blinders on and all, I get it and understand,
Spare me the condescending bullsh*t.

but the torch was passed, everyone sees it except Pat fans.
No "torch" was passed to anyone, this is further nonsense from your fantasy world.

Just absolute flaming garbage.
Finally, an accurate assessement of your alleged football knowledge. You're just an irrational yahoo. Run along now.

You're ignoring the fact that Mahomes scored 31 points in the second half and left the field with the lead and never got to touch the ball again.

Which has happened to Brady multiple times.

But back to your main point of judging Mahomes killer instinct, or the lack there of, based on consoling handshakes is just ludicrous.

OP is a prime example of why people hate Patriots fans. SMH
That kind of post is not typical of Patriots fans and all fan bases have a similar element. We've got evidence of that in this very thread.

Yeeaahh... you were trying to argue that since Brady fell behind 28-3 to the Falcons, that he "disappeared" in a big game, but when you actually find a way to come back and WIN that game and that game happens to be the SuperBowl, I think you get a pass.

You also get a pass when, even if Brady had lost to the Falcons, he would have still had 4 rings and 7 SB appearances and his greatness would never have been questioned. Mahomes has 0 and 0 and until he actually does something noteworthy like advancing to the SB, talking about a "great half" is about as useful as talking about how good Gordon was at certain times for us this season.

And yeah, him high-fiving fans after crapping the bed in the 1st half of the biggest game of his life, only to go on and LOSE does make me question his killer instinct. Only time will prove me wrong or right, but I'm pretty confident I'm right.

I think you’re holding Mahomes to an unfair standard (Brady).

Brady has played in 17% (yes 17%) of all Superbowls. Obviously, you don’t have to be just like Brady to win a Superbowl.

Based on a " high five ". hahaha

I'm not "mad" at Mahomes for shaking hands. It certainly doesn't make him a bad person. But I do question his killer instinct and I'm sorry, but "champions" don't disappear for complete halves with all the marbles on the line like Mahomes did last night 1st half.

Didn’t Brady disappear for a full half against the Panthers in SB38? Guess he didn’t have that killer instinct back then.

Yeah, good call. He disappeared so much he set the record for most completions in SB history in that game. Some killer instinct, that guy! LOL

I'm beginning to think the "disagrees" are a badge of honor around these parts.

This thread has 49 disagrees. That will make an impact on the OP’s stats. So much for a pro bowl season.
