Passing of the tourch.

So if you look at the thread I started I pretty much called this game right on with a 34-31 Pats win. Obviously looking at the game it could of been a toss up either way coming down to that last minute and then a coin flip. But to the Pats credit they won and are off to the super bowl.

BUT in watching the game live it just looked like the torch as been passed. Mahomes looks much better and more well rounded, can make all the throws and keeps a very level head. I think he has a lot of Brady intelligence with the farve or rogers arm talent. Our Defense is just awful, I mean like "All Time Historic Bad" defenses to ever play football. We all thought Berry would help but really did nothing to help.

But just couldn't help watching Brady dink and dunk down the field for most of the evening that his time is about done. Watching Mahomes shows you what the future of the NFL will be for the next 15 plus years. I'm glad Brady gets his one last swan song and we will see what he does in the super bowl, I think you have just as good a chance beating them as you did us so your odds look good.

But to most people around the country ( the QB cannot control defense) it was a pretty easy to see passing of the torch. Mahomes will carry it well into the next 15 years and thanks for a good game guys.

Too much cerveza before posting?

No, I’d we had Tyreek and Watkins we would’ve blown you out by 21 plus. Brady on that KC team would’ve rewritten the record books.

You claim to be a “rational” fan but it’s clear you’re really just a jealous troll. Win something first, then come back to us with how the torch has been passed.
not a troll or jealous, it is what it is and I've accepted it, hell we haven't sniffed a superbowl besides this for decades. Look this isn't anything that you should be upset about, your going to the superbowl and may very well win, that's awesome, exciting , you should be so happy. My point is I wanted to see it with my own eyes live at the game and see how the performed, threw the ball etc. All I'm saying is that the torch has been passed at the QB position.

I don’t think the chiefs defense would agree. They were up 21-17. Brady led the offense down the field for a TD. They were up 28-24 with 2 minutes. Once again Brady led the team to a touchdown. In overtime, Brady once again led the team to a touchdown to clinch a conference title

But yeah

Brady out played Mahomes that night IMO. Mahomes is the more exciting player to watch and has the better athleticism for sure. That is nothing new for guys Brady has been compared to over the years.

As far as Brady dinking and dunking down the field that isn't a sign he is done. That has been his game most of his career.

Let’s set a disagreement record here folks!

Every year there's 1-3 QBs that are being sold to us as the next great thing. Mahomes' season was great, but his game has a lot of flaws. If he fixes his flaws it will take away his explosiveness. If he doesn't then he'll become another exciting, overpaid QB that struggles to make the playoffs.

What separates Brady is that he's willing and able to diagnose so much at the line, stick with the game plan, make high percentage plays, and then turn it on for a drive or two to close things out. If taking a backseat for the team then playing at the highest level for a drive or two was simple far more would do it. The challenge is two fold: accepting a less glamorous role is nearly impossible for players at this level and it's incredibly challenging to try to go from 0-60 instantly without making a mistake.

Brady's torch is unlikely to be passed. There will obviously be a best QB in the league, and if that's what was being referred to then sure... I just don't know if we'll see a QB willing and able to put the team first while matching the 'best' when called on.

The QB with, by all accounts, the lesser offense around him just took down the latest flavor of the month. Trying to frame that as a passing of the torch is asinine, whether it's trolling or not.

I've posted this before, but the recent history of the loaded young team that will rule the NFL for years:

2014 Seahawks (Actual championship window: 2 years)
2016 Falcons (Actual championship window: 1 year)
2018 Eagles (Actual championship window: 1 year)
2019 Chiefs (Actual championship window: ?)

Nailed it. I mean, damn. Nailed it.

Lock thread.

Whatever helps you sleep at night, my ignorant friend.

Tell you what. In 3-4 years if he is still lighting it up you can hit me with an I TOLD YOU SO

and then I'll go 'but i never said that he wouldn't be a...'

and you can interrupt me with an

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU SAID
Sounds like a plan!!

I'm too young to have seen it but I think this is what it must have been like in the 60s with Bill Russell and the Celtics, seemingly in the finals every year.....
Seemingly? They literally were in the finals every year.

its because he's not good at passing anymore and threw a really stupid pick earlier in the game. The chiefs D gave up rushing yards in chunks, the hoodie made the right call. I wouldn't let brady throw the ball.

Now you're just being a troll. Either that or an idiot.

Look this isn't anything that you should be upset about

This is a good point. If someone has had something good happen I like to walk into their house, spit a phlegmy wad into their face and then if they complain I say "Look, this isn't anything you should be upset about you just had that good thing happen."
