Hotels, BBQ, Attractions.

22 years experience. Youve come to the right place. Triumph travel won't steer you wrong.
I have heard that Arrowhead can be very hostile to fans of the opponent - quite the opposite of the friendly midwestern stereotype.

What has your experience been?

Medium to terrible.

Chiefs fans get a few wins and drinks in them and they think that they are king kong. When they are losing, the fans seem much more subdued. They are supposed to open the gates at 10 which means people drinking to oblivion.

Ive been KC x 3, Denver x 3, Indy x 3, Pitt x 3, SD, STL, Minn, NYJ, Cinci, Houston plus 6 Super Bowls and would rate Chiefs and Bengals fans as the worst in that order.

Figures you'd be living amongst the mutants, now I get it.

I was there in 2014 they were very loud that night. Impressive actually. No one gave me any crap. But clearly I've had more fun at a game.

BBQ was excellent we went to Arthur Bryants and American Joes. I thought Joe's was better.

Stayed at a casino on the river. Won my money back at the poker table after the game. They were drunk and happy and I was pissed and don't drink. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

Might go Sunday if a friend comes through with face value tix.

Yep. you went to the right place for BBQ

Arthur Bryants. Joes has some good stuff too but they use too much sodium.

Does anyone know if there's a fan rally planned for Saturday night in Kansas City? I wanna party with Pats fans before the big game

how come they dont have a nba or nhl team there

Damn. You’re like Johnny Cash...

You just have to go. The perfect time is not coming. Work will be there when you get back and some day in the future you will look back and be so glad that you went. Who knows? Maybe you wont be able to travel for some reason next year. Do it now.

Im not rich. I drove to every Super Bowl with no ticket. Sometimes with no place to stay. Sometimes using my credit card to finance the adventure. I did not always get in to the game and had to watch it at a bar or restaurant, but it was still fun. Its a myth that all the hotels are booked and cost thousands. Its also a myth that super bowl tickets are out of reach for Joe fan. I paid $100 over face value twice for real nice seats.

If the Pats make it to Georgia folks here have to go and be part of history.

College basketball. The Jaybirds are a big attraction and about 45 minutes away. Kansas State Wildcats are about 2 hours away.

They have minor league hockey that does OK.

The heartland, dust bowl where many dreams have gone to die.. read somewhere that KC is the fast food capitol of the world, great distinction.

I think a lot of it depends on what you give back.
Expect to take a lot of ****, if you are a hot head or have thin skin then don't go to any stadium as a visitor.
Most of the ribbing is just from people wanting to have a good time, keep your emotions in check, smile, have fun, and that is mostly what you will get back in return. Walk away from the ones trying to provoke or appear to have a chip on their shoulder, engaging that will never end in a pleasant encounter.

Unfortunately its up to you... if you are a "take no ****" kind of guy, you will find someone to set you off, no question.

It ranks 9th and is easy to google.
Missouri is a big state, almost entirely rural with industry being farming and not much else. Its unfortunate that those circumstances equate to a high percentage of fast food, but it is common in that environment.
Kansas City itself is actually doing great. Of course it won't compete with big city michelin stars and whatever, but it offers everything from vegan to nationally acclaimed BBQ. Ask me for locally owned recommendations!

One poor chiefs fan was too drunk and tried getting in the wrong car.

Another chiefs watching the game in the parking decided to get involved and beat him to death. No more watching chiefs games in the parking lot anymore.

Pro soccer is draws well here, stadium sells out and the team reaches the semis often.
