I've never heard of any of them. The LAC don't have the talent at LB that Jets team did. Come to think of it, LAC doesn't have any LBs.
You need LBs to stop a legit running game.
The 2010 Pats didn't have one.
The 2018 Pats does
They've been decimated. They lost a starter early in the season and another in Nov. Now Brown who led their team in tackles is gone..I was looking at their roster and asking myself, who are these LB's? I've never heard of any of them.
BB signed him because he has the Rams playbook, knows the line calls and he thinks he'll face McVay in the SB.
The Chargers move him. He also lined up at DT at times yesterday, too.
This game represents 2nd consecutive east coast road playoff game for LA. And it's the early 1pm game.. and it's cold .
No chance. Sorry. Patriots get lead early and chargers flail through the motions, making tee times for next weekend. Not a close game. hello 8th consecutive afccg...
Yeah, Gronk down the seam is certainly a good way to attack 2 high. If this year he doesn't have the athleticism to get a clean release on his man and run by, that isn't there anymore. Or like I said, hopefully we could hit PD or someone on a post. In general 2 high is beatable deep if you hold safeties to the sidelines with vets and attack the open middle with a post/seam, but I'm not sure this team has the athleticism to attack with verts like that. But I would see 2 man as an opportunity for edelman and white to do their thing, still.Yep. The Patriots used to absolutely murder this with Gronk down the seam but he hasn't been himself this year. Legitimately, the last time I could remember Gronk being effective against C2 man under was Week 1 against the Texans. I might be forgetting a game after during the regular season, but that's the last time I could remember it. And yes, it would make it tough, but the safeties would have something to think about before crashing down on curls, slants, etc. I would suspect that they'll disguise their coverages by showing Cover-2 man under before the snap but it will actually be Cover-1 (probably with robber - similar to how Atlanta got Brady in 51).
Everyone’s saying our secondary is bad...it’s as if they haven’t watched the Patriots recently...
