AFC Divisional: We're on to the Chargers (Beat LA!)

Gordon came off will a knee injury. Interesting to see if he practices this week with traveling back and forth from West Coast and if there is a flare up or swelling or less than 100%.

He played most of the game, though. He just went and put a brace on his left leg.. Granted a lot can happen between now and Sunday, but I bet he's fine..

Not necessarily. When you are kicking to an ALL-PRO returner in King, he tends to have them go through the endzone.
He will have ghost pop it up until he gets burned once. Or rugby kick ...That is his MO

I’m shocked the Ravens played this badly. They spanked the Chargers in LA. The Chargers adapted. The Ravens did nothing new. Martindale schemed really well and the Ravens D kept them in the game. Harbaugh and Mohrniweg really failed with that Vanilla Ice offense.

Many are scared of the Chargers. I’m not really sure why. Baltimore has virtually no passing game. There were no creative plays and they never tried to take sdvantage of the Chargers “aggressive” defense by using misdirection. LA often put eight in the box, including up to 3 (!) safeties. Please do that against a rested NE.

Other than Gordon, who on the LA offense is better than his Pats’ counterpart? Other than Ingram, who on the Chargers D is better than his Pats counterpart? Anything can happen but I’m not seeing LA winning this game.

Remember the Chargers saw the Ravens a few weeks before. They haven’t seen the Pats this year.

I could go on and on and on, but everyone would fall asleep, accuse me of being a homer or just laugh. :(

I think we all knew this year would be a tougher road than in prior years. Chargers are a formidable team but hopefully we'll be able to win.
I'm not afraid of the Chargers. At all.

I am afraid of turnovers. How many thousand times did we see Deion Branch cover up, go down and live to fight another play? That's how you avoid them.

Turnovers will kill you.

For general fans of the league, this is a great matchup to see. Hoping for a good game.

Not gonna lie, he annoys me sometimes but it would be nice to see Rivers get his ring someday. I just know if he does this year it will come at yall’s expense :p

I think the ultimate matchup for general fans who don't have a dog in the fight ,would have to be NE/NO. Brady /Brees.
Fact is, it's rare when alltime great qbs meet in the postseason. Marino/ Montana only happened once. Brady/Rodgers never happened.
But a long way to go B4 that can happen.

The fact that Kontra was banned 11 years ago by that chargers forum and is still banned to this day..
Kontra was a 21 year old pup back then posting porn on a rival web site

I cant even imagine the reaction of the mod. Lol

Pats could have a long day. We drew the short straw.

The good news is we will know what kind of team we are if we win.
I suggest you go to bed and not watch or see any sports news until next Sunday morning to avoid a stroke. ;)

Rivers has never won against Brady. That's not going to change next week.

@scout

Since you've given me a genius to show your contempt, let me explain -- you missed my point. I wasn't making an argument (Rivers has never beaten Brady; ergo, he won't be able to in the future), but rather making a hype post as a fan (they haven't beaten us before, and we're not gonna let them do it now! yeah!). I can certainly understand that these two current teams are nothing like the previous teams, and I'm not arguing for historical precedent when none of the details other than Brady and Rivers (and maybe Gates) are the same between the teams.

I'm more than happy to have a discussion about Xs and Os, but I don't think I did anything to merit the dismissal of your original post. It came across a bit imperious. ;)

Not much of an X and O guy. Although, like when football minds discus them. My apologies for picking on you as your post was meant for sarcasm more then reality.

Bosa and James are extremely talented. Heyward and King round out one of the top secondaries in football. The defense is good.

The Chargers are a blue collar team with a veteran quarterback

This isn’t a “high flying Southern California team”

Patriots run D needs to show up big on Sunday

The Chargers have better WR and DT than the Pats. You forgot Bosa who is a much better pass rusher than anyone the Pats have.

Pats are stronger along the OL and DB’s. The Pats have a better kicker but the Chargers have the better return man.

The big issue here is that the Pats don’t have the personnel to exploit the Chargers’ biggest weakness (OL) but the Chargers strength (running game) matches up terribly for the Pats dreadful run D.

Gordon is likely to have a monster game. The Pats will need Brady to be perfect and hope for some Chargers mistakes.

Hate to say this, but this might be the worst match up for the Pats. The Chargers might be the most complete team in the AFC this year.

I think the Pats at home gives them far more than a puncher's chance of winning, but I wouldn't bet on the Pats if this was on a neutral field.
After watching this game, I think the Pats have a very good chance.
I agree, the Chargers are a very complete team, but more importantly I agree that HFA is, absolutely, vital to our chances to move forward.

I feel pretty good. We need a powerful, focused team, like the good games we have seen at home this season. We know this team can do that.

Let's hope that squad will show up. I believe they will.
The same players are there.
It's playoff time. Psycho TB will show up.

I think our chances to get to the big game is thru the Colts.
And they will do it..

FU: Marbles Sharpe, LaLameian DumbAssLinson, and all the same idiots.

The Pats have as good a chance as anyone.
We are blessed to have such a motivated leader in TB.
I'm as pumped up as ever.

Damn, I just like TB and BB against what I've seen the last few weeks.

LETS GOOOOO!!!!

Gordon is not right

Good God. We might as well stay home.
