Marvin Lewis finally fired

I definitely see your point. In the end of the day wins are all that counts so it looks like the AFC East coaching carousel continues to spin.
And it’s more than just wins, it’s an “offensive genius” who never had a good offense.

Adam Gase is a good coach, the quarterback is the biggest problem in Miami not the coach.

Don't be surprised if he gets a job and does very well.

So as it turns out those of us who thought Brown wouldn't pay to get rid of Marv were right. Lewis' contract 'extension' was an option for 2019 and it didn't cost Mike Brown a dime to 'fire' him. Shoulda known lol

A 'partial' surprise considering the way Cin franchise is leaded

Not even Affirmative action can help Marvin Lewis he's the Jeff Fisher of Black Coaches. How did he have such a long tenure??

Knowing what we do about team owner Miser Brown it might have had something to do with Lewis making more from his weekly radio gig than the Bungals were paying him

You're on fire today.

I think I figured out why the Bengals kept Lewis around so long, despite 0-7 in the playoffs. Before Marvin got there in 2003, from their inception in 1968 until 2002, the Bengals had a total of 7 seasons over .500 (7/35). Marvin coached them 7 seasons over .500, the sum total of all previous coaches.. When the bar is not set too high, it's easy to exceed it, which is what he did. For many other teams, the bar is higher, not apparently in Cinn....

And we’re still waiting for a playoff win. Who will get a playoff win first, jets or Marvin Lewis

TBH I think it was his final say on roster changes that was his undoing. Paired with a decent GM I believe he would be a more than adequate HC

He seems to get the most out of QBs. We may be stuck with Bortles next year, and if that’s the case I would love to have Gase as our OC. A kid can dream

Arizona rumored to want Marvin Lewis. Is Carson Palmer returning the next shoe to drop?

Hackett seemed good, I heard he got fired for liking Blake too much lol?
