I want to agree with you, but this team isn’t “too old” to win a Super Bowl.

They literally were just there and most of their losses this year are due to mental errors and execution.

It’s the coaching, plain and simple.

McDaniels has been atrocious and Brian Flores is worse than Patricia. Is what it is.
Coaching but coaching didnt have Gost miss a extra point and FG coaching didnt make Brady take the sack in Miami or throw the pick in Blitzburgh
Brady still has a great arm it seems the game isnt as slow to him anymore.
Hes feeling pressure early holding on to the ball a second too long.
Thats not physical that is mental.
Thats age creeping up on the computer that is Bradys head.
Even with awful reffing Brady should of won that game.
Foles to New England could and should happen.
As well as draft a QB in the first or second.

Brady's going to be done in NE after next season unless he's willing to take a significant paycut when his contract expires after the 2019 season. Or unless Kraft overrides BB and pulls the Patriot equivalent of the Celtics shooting themselves in the foot by keeping the Big Three around too long.

I thought it was crazy talk about him playing till 45. The Pats don’t have the personnel to have him ride along like Manning did with the Broncos. This team depends on a 41 year old Brady right now. Which is remarkable.

I am just shocked at how bad the run D is. This has been a thing of strength in past years , but this year they have been bad .
Belichick needs to take over the Run D.
The pass D leave it the fuk alone Boyer and Belkchick Junior are doing excellent with it.

This..

Keep in mind that the Steelers suck this year fir the most part.

I'm not defending the defense, but the Steelers are in the top 5 in both yards and points per game. They don't suck.

Yup. Cook is good so I didn’t count him but if you do then make that 42 carries for 378 yards. NINE fking yards every rush. Unacceptable.
Gore is HoF. Either way they are basically abdicating any interest in stopping the run.

I thought the 02 team had a worse run D.

Nope. 2018 wins.

They were bad last year as well. 2nd worst in the league at 4.7 ypc. 4.9 this year

It has been bad, but stopping the run or not does not mean everything in today’s game. Steelers got 17 and Vikings were held in check. Teams are not going to run over and over like in prior days - except Baltimore, and you can load up on the run versus them.

Gore is HOF but he’s also 35.

Statistically they really are worse than 02. 4.9 yards per rush which might be 5 after today. The 02 team was 4.7.

Amazing.

So to be clear, youre agreeing that Brady was really really really bad last week when he had 358 yards and 3 TDs? Ok cool, then you're an idiot too

That's not what I take away from his position at all.

Basically we all pretty much know that the defense isn't going to carry this team to a win but it is capable of getting the ball back to the offense a few times a game and when they do the offense, who should carry this team, needs to take advantage of those extra possessions and they haven't.

Bad game on offense and defense. Our team is in trouble. Two straight losses and we've been bad on the road...not going to lie, I am worried about this team!!!!

Let's discuss!!!

If it wasn't for a great dinner with one of my sons and his family on my wife and I's 41st anniversary, this would have been a lousy day.

I think Edelman needs to stop flapping his gums and start playing some football. Drops and penalties are not going to do it.

Brady looked his age on that pick in the red zone. I think he was trying to throw it away but didn't have enough zip to get it out of the playing field.

It looked like one of his passes in the end zone at the end was over Gronk's head to give him a chance to go up and get it, but with the defender's hands all over him he couldn't leap up for it.

It's getting more and more difficult to watch any of these games with the inconsistency by the refs and the lack of integrity on the reviews. If anyone saw the Philly at Dallas game last week there was a clear fumble on the first play by Dallas and nothing but three Philly players on the ball. After review it was still rightfully ruled a fumble but Philly didn't get it because they declared that there was no clear recovery.

It seems like every big play is overturned because of what turns out to be a nothing foul, or in the case of the Pats/Pitt game, a PI and 30-40 yard penalty is called even when the defender is in perfect position with his head turned looking for the ball.

I honestly can't wait for Brady to retire so I can dump the NYFL for good. The product on the field isn't worth what little time I have left.

The 2018 New England Patriots only scored 16 offensive touchdowns on the road, and scored just one FOUR times...that statistic is a ****ing joke considering the quarterback told us in his stupid Facebook show that he "had all the answers to the test"....for an offense w Brady, McDaniels, Gronkowski, Hogan, Michel, White, Dorsett, Patterson, Edelman, Burkhead etc 16 TDS is an embarrassment

Houston would crush us at their place right now. Obliteration

They barely beat the Jets and managed under 300 yards of offense. I get being down on the team, I just don't know how that translates to having no chance to beat unremarkable teams.

Well if history repeats itself thats bad news for this year and good news for the 19 draft

Here is Brady with a chance to win the game showing just ghastly footwork leading to an awful throw:
