Post Game Thread - Pats @ Steelers

I actually agree with this. The league has been trending towards offense over the past decade. Belichick seems to have neglected the defense a bit, or at least place a lesser emphasis on it.
So please explain to me the travesty of this 2018 offense. It's simply awful. Cannot score in the RZ, period. Average run game, below average WR's, horrendous OL way off kilter, black hole at TE, aging QB who may be declining before our eyes. It's a mess.

10 points. ten. In this NFL? That’s not offense.
14 penalties for 106 yards, mostly on O

That will KILL any offense. Anyone recapping this game and not mentioning penalties in the first two sentences is stupid.

The team that has the least penalties in the league (NE) absolutely KILLING itself with stupid penalties all game long is absolutely as out-of-character as it gets.
A lot of those penalties were bogus at best - more than one of the holding calls, the PI call in the first half, etc. The officiating in this game was as brazenly corrupt as any game that has ever been televised. There were two entirely different standards employed for the two different teams. If the refs had simply called holding evenly against both teams we would have won easily.

Please tell me you that you think the defense played well. The last drive was a perfect example....ball deep in Pitt territory needing a 3 and out and what happens, Pitt comes down the field and scores a fg…..If you think the defense played well, I can't help you.

Did the offense play well, no, not at all and I said that in my post, but do not try and defend this defense, just don't.

Are you serious right now ? The defense held the Steelers to 3 points in the last 3 quarters and scored two INTs.

The offense is just completely broken to the point where I am not sure we will even see another RZ TD thrown this regular season. This was the same ****ty performance as the second half against Miami where they scored only 6 points.

And this game could have gone on another 2 quarters and I am not confident this team would score once in the redzone. The Brady INT didnt help but the issues are way more fundamental than that.

The consistent shot plays from second down on in the redzone are pretty much all you need to look at in terms of how helpless the offensive staff, Brady and the other players are.

We can still make it to the SB as the #3 seed if it comes to that.

Technically speaking, any team that reaches the playoffs can reach the SB. So I guess you're right there. Realistically speaking, no effin way.

No one should be thinking about super bowl aspirations.

They need to think about who on this team is deserving of coming back next year, keeping accolades and emotion out of it.

Basically most the team needs to be overhauled.
Including coaching staff....Brady Gronk and Edelman should retire....and I think that will signal the end of BB ...and if they turn team over to this ***hat McD....we are in for many bad years ahead!

When he has a run like he has I understand how hard it is for the simpletons to express even a slight negative thing about Mr. Perfect.

But his last two weeks have been bad. Like, really really really bad.

I'm sure brady disagrees with me and is super happy to come out of today's game with 1 touchdown and two pointless trips tothe red zone.

Some of the mishaps were totally on Brady (cluster**** before halftime in Miami, todays INT) but a lot of the issues on offense are more fundamental than him. It is not like he is missing open players on the majority of plays.

This offense with a lot of individual talent cannot get it done. We are also a team with too many aging players, and it feels like we have no heart. That is what is truly lacking this year .
Amen well said

I'm a spoiled brat for stating the truth about this team? I never said it's the end of the world. Nor am I acting like it. I just simply think this team isn't that good and aren't winning the SB. What about that screams brat? Is it the part where I don't close my eyes and pretend everything is still okay with this team?
Lol I never defended the way the team is playing. I merely said the loss isn't the end of the world. Oh, you'll get over it

We really hung 38 and won in Chicago?

I’ll laugh if we somehow get the #2 seed by virtue of Houston losing in philly

Showing there age....well said ...including unfortunately...the head coach
The dynasty was always Brady. Bills great, but this season further confirms he needs goat Brady

Excuses.

Sounding alot like Pitt fans. We would not have won "easily"

Our offense was putrid. If wasnt drunk, id be mas

Yep NT Malcom Brown can't get a decent Tackle so he has resorted to Holding the other Teams Center.

I thought LT Baby Huey was FANtastic today. He was so good management had Edelman chip on Huey's counterpart on the last drive.

Yeah you should look again. And also consider that FA, UDFAs and trades are part of the job of a GM. Overall he has been among the better team builders in this league. No team can have sustained success for so long otherwise.

And dont give me any of this Brady makes it all work crap because Brees in NO and Rodgers in GB just show that even elite QBs cant overcome bad team building.

I have to disagree big time. Those guys are great but they're not Brady or Peyton. TB and Peyton could lead their teams to wins with bad defenses. Brady does make it work. He makes it work because he makes players around him better and in his prime could play well against both good and bad defenses.

Gronk should retire because he hasn't even shown A. Interest in even being out there and B. Any resemblance of either him self or a NFL tight end

However, I disagree on jules, brady and bill. They haven't been so transparent that it's obvious they need to go.

But gronk clearly doesnt want to play.

The D is a joke and any debating should have ended last week. The D is 21st in the nfl.

Still the D was okay tonight it's just the offense that killed them. Too many false starts and holding calls. Sprinkle in Brady losing it and tonight was the result
Every D sucks. 21 in yards means nothing
