Bills release Kelvin Benjamin, Andre Holmes

Benjamin sucks and always has sucked. There was a lot of teeth gnashing when I said he sucked when he was traded to the Bills. Cam Newton was better without him. He's done nothing at all since he was traded to the Bills. He's slow and has stone hands. No way.

I rate Benjamin a 5 sobs player..

Benjamin showed flashes early in his career, but he just hasn’t shown to evolved into a complete, reliable, receiver.

I’m sure the Pats could find a role for him but the price is just too high.

It's the last year of his deal, so the more interesting question is whether he'd be worth signing after he cleared waivers, either for a bit of a short tryout, or with a second year built in to the deal. Either way, I'd be viewing at it as a look at a potential TE prospect, not a wide receiver.

But other than that...?

I might give Benjamin a sniff as a move TE to give us some size in the red zone but it would be an uphill battle to not only change positions this late in the season, but to do it in the hardest offense in football. As a WR, he’s toast.

Move TE... Acronym for invent position for big name big contract big WR guy who needs to learn playbook from scratch on week 13. Um with Patterson and Hollister you have all the "moves " you can handle already. IMO .

If he even gets a sniff of foxboro I'll be shocked enough to post something to show you were right:cool:

Even when he played in FSU I thought how the hell is that guy supposed to be a wide receiver, looks too slow. Had a surprising rookie season though, maybe mostly jump balls?

Why?

Are the Pat's going to give every mutt WR a home? How many Pattersons and Dorsetts can 1 team have.

Brady can throw the ball to White and the O lineman.

In 2018 he has been targeted 62 times and has 23 receptions, grand total of 354 yards... will take a flyer on this guy.

Compare to Edelman's 69 targets and 49 receptions in fewer games..
