Mandatory Josh Gordon Thread

He is no Ocho Sinko

Mandatory question : Does Josh Gordon still possess Cat like quickness?

Josh Gordon is superior to a cat in every measurable way: a cat has nine lives, but Josh Gordon has like 15 NFL lives; leaping ability goes to Gordon; speed goes to Gordon; quickness, yes, goes to Gordon; ability to catch a football goes to Gordon on an easy call (though Dwayne Allen would lose in a ball catching contest to a cat.)

I bought a couple items at Gillette and one was a signed Gordon print. I hope he stays. Most people think he’ll leave in NE. I love him.

I doubt any team is going to pay us a 2nd round or possibly a first round to obtain Gordon's service next year.

Can we lock him up? I’d like to get a Gordon jersey

I’m happier with the way James Devlin has worked out. And it’s so nice the Patriots have made him feel welcome...like it’s his home here.

Josh is doing ok but has a long way to go in proving himself one day at a time

They can, but likely they won't. He's an RFA next year (thanks, Fraudger!).
Why do you say they won't?

The team can incorporate a number of provisions into the contract which protects them (see recoup any $) if he fails a drug test or is suspended.

Unless hes a real problem/too much work to manage and we don't know it, at a minimum they'll be slapping him with a 1st or 2nd round tender.

They didn't trade for Develin. o_O:confused:

No kidding...does it matter how a player is acquired?

The point I’m trying to make is that I understand Gordon is a potential feel good story. But in order to feel good for josh the person, he needs to stay clean & sober for the rest of his career and hopefully the rest of his life.

Let’s not get all warm & fuzzy over Josh for staying straight for 2 months

In that context the comparison with Develin makes even less sense. Develin is an Ivy League grad.

Not his life... his career... he is addicted because he couldn't quit, even if it was harming him in almost every aspect... just hold that weed man, and try to get wasted every day because they don't mind that

Flash Gordon more durable than the Ghost of Gronk's past and foreseeable future.

Very interesting. It may be time to test him.
