The beautiful thing about the Eagles is

As mediocre as Philly has been this season they still have a solid shot to make the playoffs.

And before you say so what, just remember how nobody gave the Ravens a chance in 2012 when they limped into the playoffs with 4 losses in their last 5 games. The 2005 Steelers and 2010 Packers were both sixth seeds. A certain 2007 team gave up 31+ points five times, and went 4-4 after the bye.

All those teams won the Super Bowl. So did the Raiders, Broncos and Ravens as wild cards.

Based on past history (see above), strange things can happen once the playoffs commence.

Somebody has to win the NFC East.

Washington (6-4) just lost their starting quarterback, and has had more than their share of other injuries to deal with. They go on the road for four of the final six games (at Dallas, Philly, Jax and Tennessee). If the Eagles sweep Washington, Philly wins that tiebreaker.

Dallas (5-5) is only one game ahead of the Eagles, and have been incredibly inconsistent. The next four games are tough, though three are at home (Was, NO, Phil) and then at Indy.

Philadelphia (soon to be 4-6) are at the Rams in week 15, but have five other winnable games. They are home against NYG and Wash, and then at Dallas. Then after the Rams game they finish home against Houston and then at Washington.

Do I expect Philly to make the playoffs?
Not really - but then, somebody has to win the NFC East.

Do I expect them to go deep in the playoffs?
Not at all - but stranger things have happened in the past.

Okay, I'm missing the point of "having fun"! Can ya help a guy out?

No one knows what it means. It’s as if this fool thinks work should be fun yet it never truly is

Sure, now I'm no mathematical genius but according to Eagle Lane Johnson he'd rather Win One SB and have Fun, than to Win Five SBs and be miserable (so he says).

So, LJ has no worries because from the looks of this season he can very well be stuck on that One SB Win - and come Jan he can return to Disney Land.

Ahh, now I see. Thank you.

Their music, particularly On The Border...

Meanwhile they beat the pats in the super bowl with a backup qb

But at least we have threads like these

Hope they enjoy their day in the sun. Meanwhile, we do this stuff every year.
Oh yes. And philly sux this year

Who cares? They're not a rival and they beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl last year. Them having a losing record through 10 games this season doesn't make an ounce of difference from my perspective.

Trash talking the Eagles would make more sense if they hadn’t, you know, beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl

Nice to see them fail but neither they, nor the Pats, are particularly good this year and the Eagles won the game that mattered most

The Patriots are 7-3...the Fleagles are 4-6. Making the statement that both teams aren't very good is ludicrous. One is clearly better than the other and one team is in first and the other in third place in their respective divisions. You seem to constantly want to hate on the Patriots...why is that?
