In last years, blitzing against the patriots meant and successful day for the Brady and the passing game. Brady is considered one of the best of all time against the blitz.

In 2018, Brady does NOT have the best QB rating against the blitz. He has the WORST.

Our tackle play has been pretty inconsistent all year. Edge rushers usually don't give this offense trouble.

Are our tackles so much worse than in past years? If we had a weak OT, we would have had a TE help out, and we have 2 quality blocking TE's in ground and Allen.

This could be where not having Gronk is really hurting us currently. Then again, he runs routes in most passing situations.

There is blitzing, and then there are free rushers on every snap. I'm sure someone did the leg work, but i'd guess Brady's average time in the pocket on Sunday was sub 2.5 seconds. He was hit on almost every single play

It's hard to beat the blitz when the play call is downfield to Josh Gordon. A few times they were successful with a screen to White with Brady rolling out a little, but they didn't stick with it. Short throws & screens are how you (and Brady in the past) beat the blitz. Play calling was BAD on Sunday. Gronk being out didn't help; line play atrocious, but there were injuries.

If Waddle is playing in the playoffs, forget about it. The Wynn injury is a killer, he’d have been very helpful as depth as a swing tackle and as an extra tackle.

There was no guarantee in his rookie year Wynn would be better than Waddle.

There’s no guarantee, but this team’s o line drafting record is really good. We seem to get production from year one.

1. No Edelman the first 4 games and still recovering from injury he looks a half step slower than past years.
2. No Gronk or diminished Gronk all year.
3. DA a Dolphin.
4. Burkhead who can play the slot injured.
5. Instability on the OL.
6. Gordon not picking up on adjustments.
7. Hogan and to a lesser extent Dorsett unable to get separation quickly.

Being the Goat means you find ways around some of these things. This however has been brutal. To make it worse White who is option #1 often has to block on blitzes. I'd like to see them put Allen or Michel in there to block and allow White into the pattern out of the slot or wide.

I wish they had put more of an effort into retaining DA. I know he gets hurt a lot and you have to monitor his snaps but he was nails in the playoffs.

Seemed like he was already there based on TC and preseason reps.

I completely agree he seemed ahead and is a great prospect.

I'm just not ready to say he would fix the OL problems. Lot to ask of a rookie- especially one at a new position.

These numbers are troubling. Tom's been terrible by brady standards.

Yeah, I doubt Wynn was worth 24 points on Sunday.
