Multiple league sources confirm the #Patriots have been active on the trade front for weeks. That’s not abnormal for them. One name that’s been discussed is #Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas. Thomas was drafted by Pats OC Josh McDaniels when he was HC at Denver.
I'd be surprised if we traded for a WR before getting defensive help
Prefer Golladay.DT and JG on the outside, Gronk and JE working the middle of the field, Damn...
I'm not a biggest DT fan but there is no denying he is a very good receiver. That is a lethal group. With White and Michel too. [insert Randy Marsh spooky ghost pic]DT and JG on the outside, Gronk and JE working the middle of the field, Damn...
The thing about getting OBJ is that he'd only hit the cap for about $775k for the remainder of this season.
Thomas, OTOH, would hit the cap for about $4.5M.
Patriots realize Hogan has fell off a cliff.
Thought this deserved its own thread.
Since Edelman has returned, Hogan has caught 13 of 15 tgts for 175 yards. That's an 87% catch rate at a ypc of 13.5 yds. Doesn't seem particularly cliff-like.
I guess BB is saying NFL defense is no longer so just acquire offensive weapons and you will be ok? I am hoping for a LB or Safety.
If Glazer is right & the Pats acquire another legit WR, this offense will rival 2007.
Demaryius Thomas is on the wrong side of 30 and has declined over the last few years. I’d give nothing more then a 3rd for him.
