The optimism thread

Soft lol. Takes a tough guy to call people garbage huh?

Again, just proves your softness if you think people who want to act tough say "garbage".

It's not offensive, so your position of trying to suggest otherwise is just silly. We live in a world today where people try to take offense to everything, but even this is a new low.

It only further validates your softness. You think a 'second grade / insanely PG" insult is over the top and outrageous.
When did I say that? I am saying it’s childish and you are ramping up the immaturity.

Let's recap.......
Let’s do

The Patriots spend the last two weeks (and 3 of the last 4) getting absolutely owned defensively. Like not just bad, insanely bad, so bad that it deserves every insult in the book.

I make a comment about how they looked like garbage in three of their last four games.

A comment, that in my opinion, is harmless and what I thought to be indisputable....in fact, so obvious it probably didnt' even need to be said.

But here comes big bad Andy Johnson, who's one goal in life is to find a reason a dissenting viewpoint on everything.....and you continue to out-do yourself. I mean, to find fault in that original comment is comical.
It’s childish. Surely if you can write a post this long with this many words you are capable of posting an adult thought.
This board is being taken over by crying. Forget the word you used, which is childish, and replace it with bad. There is still the issue of why write a post simply to say that. Contribute something other than crying.

Has the Pats D been bad? Yes, atrocious, so there is no disagreeing there. But wait, I know, I'm going to make a stand that calling them "garbage" is a low blow, like that's the worst thing you can call someone when in fact that's probably the nicest way their performance can be described.

Go ahead, go tell all your friends and co-workers. Wait 'til you see their reaction when you tell them 'hey guys, you wouldn't believe what this guy on the internet is saying. This guy is a real piece of work, he had the audacity and nerve to call the Pats defense performance garbage. Where is humanity going?'
As again you show your immaturity.

They will first be so confused and then utterly laugh in your face over your position. If you stick with it, it may even spurn an Allen Iverson-esque rant of "wait, we're not talking about the c word, the n word, or any four letter words, but "garbage"?!?!?! ....not a swear, but we're talking about 'garbage'? You've got to be kidding me."
Actually what I would describe to people is there is some guy who is a fan of the greatest dynasty in nfl history and after 2 road losses he has nothing better to do than cry.
But you seem to have had a good cry now, so maybe we can move on. If you need some tissues let me know.

Your are the one equating garbage to soft or tough, I’m just the guy laughing at you.

The Optimism Thread...LOL...

It's really hard to see how the team of the past two weeks is going to win 9+ more games.

So I'm just optimistic that we'll see a change, but right now our chances feel razor thing. Imagine what this team will look like if Gronk, Edelman or Gilmore get injured. We won't necessarily be done, but jesus...

That would be nice

I want you to be right and in my heart I think we can still win 11-12, but I really need to see some heart out of this team and some better defense.

You can’t see heart from your television.
The defense will improve, it always does.
