I’m all for adding players. But the one you want to add would hurt the team. You act like a team can't add players now or during the year. Thats not reality. Football teams aren't static. We all know the Pats aren't.
First of all that wouldn’t be what we had to give up and secondly no I do not want the guy under any circumstances. He probably wouldn't be here if that's what happened, you're right. And again, I'm not saying we SHOULD trade for him. But I also wouldn't call it a bad decision if we landed him for a 2020 conditional 7th rounder (you said you wouldn't offer anything for him) and it meant we had to waive Amara Darboh.
Were you were against the Haynesworth move? Floyd?I’m all for adding players. But the one you want to add would hurt the team.
A while ago but with the injury to Wynn we might kick the tires.Did not one of the Boston reporters say the pats were trying to sign Howard?
Still, if I were one of those guys I'd be finding the special teams coach and asking to give it a try. It is the path to being gameday active3 punt returns for the first guy in college, zero for the second. I guess it's Burkhead or bust. Not really thrilled about Chung there.
I understand the fascination with Gordan but he isn't reliable at all. I know what we have and am comfortable with the current WR corp. What we need is reliable depth that can come in and get familiar with the offense in case of injury.
I'm all for getting a freak of nature wild card on the roster but we already have that in Patterson.
Gordan is a huge risk. If that guy even smells like he walked ten feet from a roach he's gone forever.
Very different moves. Were you were against the Haynesworth move? Floyd?
Isn’t weed legal and readily available in Massachusetts?Thats the key difference with many posters and it not wrong one. I want Gordon because he turns a currently OK group into one of the best in the league.
Toast isn't Gordon on his best day.
As long as they keep him away from the Phish 2018 Fall Tour they are all set.
Still, if I were one of those guys I'd be finding the special teams coach and asking to give it a try. It is the path to being gameday active
Working a WR into your offense does not mean you are evolving the offense around him. I would be totally fine if Gordon gave the team a 2016 Hogan year.Very different moves.
First I’m generally not “for or against moves” I try to see the rationale. Sometimes I agree with it, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes they work sometimes they don’t.
Haynesworth was certainly a gamble. I saw hope but doubted it woukd work.
Floyd was brought in as the last wr on the bench, counted on for nothing, for a future shot.
Gordon as a WR4 who never plays isn’t worth trading for when you can put a guy with a future in that role.
Making him wr1 means working him into your offense and game plan.
If you don’t want to use him at his level of talent why would you get him? If you try that the virtual certain that he flames out means you have to redesign your offense mid season.
He just is not worth it either way, nor in your current argument where you play the middle.
yes and NFL players cannot use it as its a banned substance. im sure Gordon is tested every 15 minutesIsn’t weed legal and readily available in Massachusetts?
It looks like bill will rolled with these wrs hoping to get some type of production. I don’t think any of these guys will bring anything to the table. Dorsett has to step up his game.

I never said I would not use Gordon. I said I expect he would be a part of the offense, make plays and help other players get open. They would come in the flow of the game. If he shows more and the team gains trust in him to do more, so be it. If he decides to burn fatties every day and he is released they still have what they have today which is Jules, Hogs, Dorsett, Toast and WR5.
Josh Gordon doesn’t seem to be on board with that.yes and NFL players cannot use it as its a banned substance. im sure Gordon is tested every 15 minutes
You just don’t want to get this.
If I am building my offense from September toward February it is always a work in progress. I am building the best offenses week to week by adjusting personnel and schemes to maximize what you can become.
To say you want Gordon because he is a great talent then say you don’t want to implement him into what you do on offense makes no sense.
Do you give him playing time? At whose expense? If he is the best receiver on your team are you seriously saying you wouldn’t target him because you are afraid he will abandon the team? If you think that, why would you want him?
You either have to rely on him and develop your offense with him as a huge part or say you don’t trust him, so then, why waste time and draft picks on him?
maybe he changed his ways?Josh Gordon doesn’t seem to be on board with that.
Wouldn’t bringing him here create temptation to screw up yet again? We know he chooses weed over football often.
