I'm afraid so, yep. You thought Cyrus would make a good third-rounder instead of a very-end-of-the-second-rounder, but you liked the player ok (unlike the rest of the draft). Here's how you ranked the picks at the time:

The good news is that the player you most coveted in the 2nd, LeRaven Clark, is reportedly on the bubble in Indianapolis and might soon be available.
Between Clark, Braxton Miller & TE Austin Hooper on offense, and DB Vonn Bell & DE Shilique Calhoun on defense, none of my end-of-2nd-round binkies are setting the world on fire.

OTOH, I did nail how completely suck-ass the rest of the Emperor's draft was...again.

God I hope we don’t keep just Patterson, Dorsett and Hogan first few weeks...bring back LaFell. I don’t want to hear any positive spin about Edelman’s suspension, it's not good.

Captain Stone was fine with Cyrus when a bunch of other people wanted no part of the guy and were hammering his issues at Alabama? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't remember that.

Edit: Saw the follow up. good stuff.
If pointing out that the Emperor drafted the Virus an Entire Round earlier than I would've considered drafting him is considered being fine with the pick, then who am I to argue?

I’m confused about IR. I thought someone here said a couple of days ago that the rules had changed and that you no longer had to make the final 53 before being put on IR to be potentially eligible to return.

But Yates said Sam, etc. seasons are over because they were IRd without making the final 53. Which is it?

I think the rule is IR doesn't require passing through waivers any more. The IR-r player still needs to be on the original 53.

Better late than never, Ethan. This is easily our best group of rushers in a long time. They stay healthy & its a great group.

Well, "WHEN I break in and rob your house" I'm taking everything that isn't tied down.

Of course I meant IF I break in, since I don't know where you live and I'm not a burglar.

It's like you're fighting to find a way to turn his post into him reporting that Michel was going to the IR. He clearly wasn't and I'm dumbfounded why this is such a struggle for someone who I've always thought had way more than enough brain power to discern their ass from a hole in the ground.

You might get a lot of sh it on here but at least you put your name on it & I like that. I wish more draftniks did so everywhere. Instead we're left w a 1,000 random post from years ago.

Last time I looked every post you make here has your name on it, so do you mean he stands by his comments or something? Because for all of his criticisms I have yet to see him go 'oops I was wrong' and he's made far too many broad generalizations about players over the years to have not been wrong many times. I base that on the fact that if he was right even half the time we'd be basement dwellers by now, not perennial challengers and champs.

I'm not saying we should make him gm. It would be nice to get more clarity from draftniks everywhere to have a point of reference to go back to. Not a "gotcha game" but it's nice to see where everyone stands that spends thousands of hours on the draft.

From Captain

I’d like to know why the Pats actually drafted him because he was not known to be anything special at DB. He was, however, a pretty good return/punt returner in the mold of Devin Hester. He turned out to be an atrocious pick following the legends such as Terrance “I have no wrists” Wheatley and Ras IR Dowling. Hopefully Dawson ends the drought.

I hope not. GeeNo Gruesome is a horrible, horrible football player and is a slap in the face to anyone concerned with wasting roster spots on garbage. Yet another top-100 pick completely wasted by Little Billy, the Emperor Without Clothes.
Although it was another terrible draft pick, at least they got it right with Flowers. It could’ve been a lot worse had they taken Grissom and someone else took Flowers.

I think I’m going to have a weird obsession with Rivers this year since you posted that Twitter post of his rush moves against the Eagles. I think he’s going to be a real disrupter this year.

If Rivers stays healthy he'll be our best pass rusher by years end. I'm so excited for this group & can't wait to break down the DL this year. Pats don't often have a group this diverse & talented. Repeating myself here but we have players that can attack from everywhere, w different skill sets.

Expanding a bit the whole front7 looks pretty nasty if we have some luck in the health department.

I think you're illiterate. No offense.
