2017: None
2016: Cyrus Jones
2015: Jordan Richards
2014: Jimmy G
2013: Jamie Collins, Aaron Dobson
2012: Tavon Wilson
2011: Ras-I Dowling, Shane Vereen
2010: Gronk, Jermaine Cunningham, Brandon Spikes

I'm sure there are teams that have done better (remember, though, that the Pats are usually drafting later in the rounds), but that's not terrible. Spikes had some decent years, Gronk is Gronk, Collins is making a fortune elsewhere and showed some special talent, Dobson had a tremendous rookie year, Jimmy G filled his role as expected and
then some, Wilson (and Darius Butler) had decent careers elsewhere.

Also, the Patriots are never top-heavy with talent, so it's much harder for someone to make a contribution coming out of college.

I'd like to see a team-by-team comparison on the round before falling for the psychoanalysis of the coach.
That's what this board does. Crap on BB.

Thinking they hold onto Karras and Croston and send Wynn and Langi to IR. The Bojorquez situation has been puzzling all pre-season. Are they trying to hide him and sneak him onto the Practice Squad? If not, then why didn't they play him in the PS?

Reports were that his leg was very inconsistent in camp. They also had a PR competition. IMO, camp leg who didn’t do enough to earn a shot at playing in a game.

Easiest roster move of the day.

It's a great point that "no longer with the team" is NOT the same as a blown pick. Jimmy G in particular was a little too good a pick to keep!

But the drafting has certainly been hit-or-miss, and when you consistently draft at the bottom of the round for decades on end you need some home run picks. We haven't seen a Gronk/Vollmer style home run in a while (though Mason in round 4 was pretty darned good). Come on, Bentley!

So. No succession plan, then?
I guess not, which is surprising, even in the short term, given that Hoyer hasn't looked great in preseason. Maybe they have their eye on another soon-to-be-cut QB.

That and being Brady's personal fountain of youth.
