Today is the day that the real house cleaning begins.

For some reason I envision this as a wild dash toward the finish line at 4:00, yet it never quite delivers. The names don't all leak out by the deadline and even once everything is out it is very anticlimactic.

Curious if they find a way to keep both him and Keionta Davis. Not sure both will actually contribute anything meaningful this year. Wonder about their ST roles.

Also curious what will happen to Sam.

Yeah I don't think there is anyone believing he makes the 53. Hope he makes the PS, can have a redshirt year to develop and has a shot next year.

Could get claimed, but you can’t keep a guy you wouldn’t have on your 53 just because someone else will. The other 53rd guy that you had ahead of him will get claimed.
Players make a roster on merit not a guess of what happens to them after you release them.

Or be there for call up as last lb off the bench and st help if we have injuries. That’s a role we seem to have every year.

Wouldn't be surprised if one of them was a placeholder for Edelman, and get slipped to the PS after week 4, after most teams satisfy their needs.

I agree 98%, but I think that claiming does occasionally play into tactical decisions--e.g. a claimable rookie vs. a vested veteran whose current salary you don't want to guarantee, but whose locker you offer to keep active.
