That is hilarious. Where is that from? And I don't get this "either or" argument. Vikings, Jaguars and Eagles did both.
Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job.

What if I told you that it’s possible to do both?

Not with our personnel IMO.

Depends on how a couple of players pan out. But in general, I agree. That's why there's a need to do better with regard to personnel on that side of the ball.

1984-8th points, 11th yards
85-5th, 2nd
86-2nd, 2nd
87-13th, 7th
88-9th, 11th
89-2nd, 5th
90-1st, 2nd

That's what Lawrence Taylor does for a D
They also didn’t have the GOAT at QB (in fact their offense was mediocre or worse) so a more aggressive style made more sense.
At the end of the day it’s about winning games not having a unit with statistics to brag about. That’s what Rex Ryan never figured out.

They played the Bucs in preseason one year, maybe the third game and absolutely pulled out all the stops, it was phenomenal. I forget the exact year, pretty sure it was in the Mayo years. We all got super hyped and then meh.

Yup that's the game I was thinking about. It got me so ****ing excited.

There are a few teams that can put on consistent pressure without blitzing. I still don't see the need for rushing balls out in the middle of the field, though. Good for your sack stats.

Really no team consistently gets pressure.
In the 70s and 80s you could shut down an offense with a pass rush. Now all you can do is make some rare plays to disrupt them a little.

@TheRainMaker here you go. You either hate their humor or you love it. There is no in between...

That whole NFC East was a gauntlet. Even Sexys dad had decent Iggles teams.

Eagles were phony. Cowboys were down in that stretch. Skins were up and down.

When all is said and d9ne, defence ain't rocket science.

Not sure if you’ve ever seen it, but I liked “Tom goes to the mayor.”

And we’re long overdue for a new season of Eric Andre.

Does anyone really think GTFB is going to be left in the dust bin? If the team thinks it has the players for X, they'll do X. If they don't, they won't.

SSDY

This is, and always has been, Belichicks defense. A lot of change should not be expected.

Same ****, different year. I predict the d-linemen to get stood up as usual, with only maybe Trey Flowers being impactful and everyone else being a fat, useless blob.

They were all still good. 1000 times better than the cupcakes in the AFCE

Not sure what the D will look like during the season after this very short period of time... perhaps the "simplicity" is due to the newcomers learning the D playbook.

Maybe Flores is just teaching things differently..
