No argument with you on anything you say. I have a problem with Marsh looking to Belichick and the coaches to meet some need of his to have "fun." If that's what he needs from his football coach, he should have signed on with Rex Ryan or Jerry Glanville.
Marsh complains about "BS" on the Pats being things like filling lots of roles as a front seven defender. He wanted to rush the passer, nothing more. He didn't want to learn and work hard to be a better defender in pass coverage situations, filling gaps, etc. That was not "BS,"
that was his job. That's what he was paid to do. Somehow Marsh thought he was supposed to get paid to only do things he considered fun. He and his agent made a huge mistake signing with the Patriots.
You wrote in another post about how hard Revis said he had to work. He was a polished CB coming - maybe the best in the league - but had never been pushed to do what it takes to win it all. He did it, won, and left for a lot more money in a losing situation. That's okay.
