. I think that's due to his newness to the position. Big upside for a patient coach.
Well we do have Jason McCourty for a year. You’d take him over Rowe I presume?

Doesn’t have first round speed and is more scheme specific to a zone based team. The question is whether he can play man too. Interesting to note that he only gave up a 39.9 passer rating on go routes. PFF we’re saying that he’d be similar to a Richard Sherman type (they’re not suggesting he’d be as good) in the NFL.

How would you guys feel if they went Gesicki with their first 2nd rounder?
I think he'd be great but I want D. He is arguably the best tested tight end at the combine ever. Can't block but not many tight ends who catch can these days.
He does play slower than his 40 speed but that still makes him silly fast for his size. His hands are solid and he can easily be the next Ertz or Graham.
Also I'm high on 2 other TEs almost as much. To exert and Mark Andrews both look like the real deal too.
For a guy who doesn't have speed he posted a 38 vertical, 4.03 shuttle very impressive for a corner and bill's favorite event a 6.86 cone time.
I'm a BC guy, so I'd love to see Landry setting the edge for the Patriots for at least the next few seasons.
A didn't know they allowed dirty BC fans on this site.... Good LordI'm a BC guy, so I'd love to see Landry setting the edge for the Patriots for at least the next few seasons.

Nothing against the guy, but no more offense. Focus on the defense please. How would you guys feel if they went Gesicki with their first 2nd rounder?
Great question. I'd love to be in the room having this convo. I'd love to get together w/ some other fans and have these discussions.
If I was in the room I def want to know any inside insight from Iowa to this very question but I'd probably say this.
Its terms of value he's a great pick. Yes the scheme is an issue but from everything I've gathered his extremely grounded, humble & smart. Again I'd def defer to any inside info there. But from a coachable standpoint he has everything you want.
He'll get turned around at the line, deadly for CB's at the next level. You cant turn ur back to Brown, Hopkins & Watkins etc. He'll bite on fakes. A lot of his issues stem from the line.
Oliver is someone I would keep an eye on. I think he would be our #2 by seasons end & looks like a great fit in man/press. 34 inch arms I believe? He's a ball hawk too. Some of the plays he made were spectacular. I'm surprised both are still on the board tbh.
Oliver more so but Jackson has a ton of upside & is ready to contribute day 1.
@Oliver
So you don't think playing soft, avoiding contact, often watching when teammates around him tackle, no run support .. is a red flag for PT corner?
Id prefer they pass on 2nd tier Day2 potential #1 CBs having Gilmore signed through 2021 . and find a quicker, tougher corner with slot and outside versatility tomorrow or Sunday.. and address other positions today

Was speaking to zone/man & if he could ever be a viable man corner. Which like reamer I think is a bit overblown. Its not his strongest asset but I think he can progress there.
As for Oliver its a def a problem but again I wasn't speaking to that.
Meeks, Dawson M.J. Stewart are all guys that perfect fits too & are more of the physical CB's in the class
