2018 Draft Night Story

1 min on CLE clock at #1.
Enters Goody. Crowd boos halfheartedly. Clown smiles as he can.
Opens the envelope. Starts reading.

“With the #1 pick of the 2018 Draft the New England Browns...“

Looks up, agitated, looks at the card again, tries to continue, slowly, confused:

”… The New England Patriots select: John O’Korn, quarterback, Michigan…“

Looks up, cunfused, furious, looks around at staff on the stage...
(to the backstage, still audible)

“What the **** is going on? What kind of a sick joke is this…“ etc..etc..

At the same time official announcer starts introducing a player:

“… John O’Korn was also the state champion of throwing uninflated footballs ..“

Clown rages off the stage..
Organizers desperately try to get in touch with O’Korn..
BB sips his soda..

based on what tape? @Daniels
just watching him and don't see the value..

From what I’ve seen he seems pretty solid on the interior. Really athletic for a center, being able to easily get to the 2nd level on run plays. If we think he has the ability to play G as well as C the value is there, especially in masons walk year

Some mock drafts have us taking kerryon Johnson at 43. The RB from auburn. Did the guy even take a visit here?

Have we shown any interest in Samuels rb/te nc st? He’s a little lighter but shows a similar skill set of former pat Keith Byars.

I probably won't even turn it on until around 10, and only then if all the movies available either suck or I've seen before. I have no interest in watching OTHER teams get better. I only care about the players MY team is adding and THAT isn't going to start to happen until after 10.

BTW- I just noticed that Fraudell is going to use "boo screens" a lot tonight in Dallas. Reported he's going to have former popular Cowboys like Staubach and Romo plus current Cowboys like Witten be on stage with him when he calls out the picks. What a low life

You don't throw 1st round pick on a solid center, or do you?

I don't mind too much going IOL in 1st (as long as its not OT - since McGlinchy will be long gone) . but there are only two prospects worthy of that pick IMO - Isiah Wynn and Frank Ragnow. Both bigger, stronger, more versatile, better players, more athletic and much more dominant on tape. Both could potentially step in at tackle for a while if need be.

It’s actually kind of funny to me how teams THINK they got better but usually don’t.
The draft can be fools gold
