lol at the people that think there is no chance of Cooks being extended. Belichick has no problem paying guys market price (or even topping the market) if they are still in their prime, which Cooks is just entering.

Also Bill isn't someone that doesn't look ahead, as of right now there are no WRs signed past '19. Edelman will be 33, Hogan will be 30. Gronk also as of right now up after 2019.

Cooks will be extended and I bet it gets done before the 2018 season is over.

On top of being the "blow the top off the D" piece we've begged for since Moss left, he's insanely happy to be playing here AND we haven't been able to see how devastating him paired up with Edelman will be. Trading him seems like the worst move we could make (besides throwing piles of money at mediocre players just because other teams are doing it).

They have a really good young receiver at a team friendly price. You don’t trade that when you can keep him and still get a third for him after the season. You can also look at it as a two year deal with a franchise tag and pay him around 11-12 a year over two years. You can also tag him and trade him as the fish did with Landry.
