Bengals and Bills swapped 1st rounders and the Bengals got Cordy Glenn. Bills are making their move up for one of the top quarterbacks. Not sure their strategy of trading away all their best players is going to work out, but you never know!

There are 3-4 potential "top" guys, and Buffalo's been losing to Brady for long enough to understand the importance of having that player. 4 of the first 5 teams picking need a QB, as of now (Browns pick twice at the top). So, we are looking at a potentially explosive top of the draft, because moving up to 1/3/4 might all be in play.

Buffalo is making the sort of moves that signal that a possible willingness to do just that.

They may also have memories of a guy named Kelly.

How old is colvin? Mid 20's?

Hopefully DMC.

Appears to be based on this tweet. If true, it’s at least notable that it’s the two guys there with the most slot experience.

None of these guys are likely to be affordable, but if cap space was no obstacle ...

Does that mean B.B. is lookin at Jones to start opposite of Gilmore? Or are we really looking at spending solid money on a slot guy?

Might just be about the flexibility. They didn't have someone who could play inside and outside like Logan Ryan could in 2016. That wound up hurting them after Jonathan Jones got hurt.

We had a lot of issues with flexibility last year in the secondary. Gilmore not being able to play zone was a biggie. We did not fool people with our back end coverages much - OCs had a good idea what they would face - what scheme, who would be on who etc. And when something was not working, we could not adapt well. The loss of Ryan was under appreciated.

I doubt anyone would be willing to pay him more than 14-15m.. so your 3-4mill less range is absurd..
You'd be surprised what a bidding war for the only good LT can do

I assume Colvin is looking for a job in the 2016 Logan Ryan role, because there's a lot more money to be made if teams see him as a #2 that can move to the slot instead of as a pure #3 like he was in Jacksonville (albeit behind two really good corners). I'm not sure the Patriots would pay him the $10 million a year that Ryan got, but if no team is willing to pay that much then I could see the Patriots being involved. Colvin has a bunch of red flags than Ryan didn't have, including a PED suspension, 0 career (regular season) interceptions, limited starts in his last two seasons, and the benefit of an elite pass rush that won't be matched by his new team.

DRC might be cheap enough to be a pure #3 guy, but I'm not really sure how things will work out for him. It seems that a lot of the issues from last season weren't directly related to his quality of play.
