That remains to be seen. They had a good season, that's all we have so far, they could take a nose dive next season, that division is not a cakewalk. A little more evidence is needed to claim they are contenders again.

In my opinion, the Saints lost a great opportunity to acquire JimmyG's services last year because that would send a bad message to Brees and the rest of the team and they were in the middle of a playoff run but they had joint practices a couple years ago and BB and Payton are pals, there was enough data for Sean payton, I think BB would even entertain the idea to send him to NO because as I said that division is tough and the chances of facing JimmyG in a SB would be minimum, the Saints are prone to put themselves in cap hell. They would have to pay Jimmy anyway but at least is a long term answer, Brees is closer to the end than Brady.

Denver's defense was already a shell of what it once was. Now Talib is gone. Brees would get them one playoff game, at best. I watched a lot of Broncos games last year. As bad as their stable of QBs was last year, it was far from their only issue. No tight end, no running back. poor rout running by the WRs, inability to get open consistently and a ton of drops.

It would be pointless for them to pick up Brees. It will take at least a few years for them to clean up the mess Elway has created. Brees will be retired by then. The other problem is, you are asking the same guy who created the mess to fix it. That rarely works out. So odds are they are a lot longer than three years away from being competitive. I see no reason he would want to go there.

If he really wants the chance to win a ring he’ll come here on a prove it deal and sign for the veteran’s minimum; otherwise, he’s obviously selfish and doesn’t want to play for a contender.
