Sherman Signs with 49ER'S (Updated)

Didn’t someone post some twitter link where some agents said they expect him to be offered around $7M? They must be some ****ty agents if that’s what they would’ve gotten him as their client.
Where these agents wearing diapers, sporting a bib, and sucking on a pacifier?

It still isn't. You already know that at age 30 coming off an ACL tear, he will be 70-80% of the player he was before. You don't pay nearly as much money for that.
Are you saying Sherman is coming off of an ACL tear?

Hey, I wanted Sherman to be Pat as bad as anybody, but he’s got a family to feed. He’s already got a ring & he did what was best for him and his family. Respect.

Well, maybe not "family to feed" at the Antonio Cromartie level, but same principle.

I admit that I am wearing a broad smile. Now, the Patriots should take the 39 million
they have saved and offer it to Solder.

Hope we get a cornerback. Other options. Idk if Sherman actually wanted to win

There is that, and the fact that we never even reached out to him....did we? If we made an offer and lost out, I’d be a bit irritated, but if we didn’t even reach out to him, then BB&Co. either have something up their sleeves or are okay with what we’ve got.

We don't know if the Pats made an offer or not and probably never will. We do know, of course, that whatever the media take turns out to be, it'll be pure BS because they don't know, either.

Meanwhile, I'll take "Something Up Their Sleeves" for $1.06M.

Count me as glad that both Talib and Sherman aren’t here at near $10M. Both are big risks considering age or injury, and Gilmore is already making big money despite having superb safeties to help. The front 6 is where the help is really needed, and that was the bigger problem is SB52 and throughout the season. I was bummed about the Bennett trade falling through, so hopefully they can add some more pieces to help that unit...along with Shelton.

And people thought we’d get him for 7 mil ..... geez

Hoping for a Lb and a DE in the draft. They might have to draft a CB if they don't get one in free agency unless they feel good about the unit they have.

Well, shelton is better than nothing so far

Next season's schedule they will face some passing teams. We need a decent secondary. I still have my doubts on Rowe although he has the skill makeup.

I hate when we have to draft a cornerback. Last guy they nailed was Asante Samuel who was decent. DMac was good for one year and flopped after that.
Logan Ryan, you know the cornerback who actually won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots, says hello.
