Sherman on the Way Out?

I hope he signs here just so we can see the heads of some of the guys that criticized him so harshly after the 2013 NFCCG explode.
Was funny when Revis came here everyone thought he’d be here long term. When he left, apparently everyone knew it was a one year thing all along

They bring Sherman aboard and add some pieces up front to go along with either Rivers, Wise, or both contributing in the pass rush, and this is an absolutely dominant defense. Maybe the best the team has had since 2003.
And guess what! We have a 1st rd pick!

The way he congratulated Brady at the end of the SB has changed my opinion about him considerably.

I like our players to be playing mindgames and **** talking the opponent if after the loss they can go over to the opponent and shake their hand. Leave it on the field.

I think everyone here had a first round grade on Brady in 2000 as well.

I was okay with him even before that happened. He was a competitor and he got fired up over making a game-saving play against a heated divisional rival to send his team to the Super Bowl. He had every right to be fired up.

Flowers Pick #31 Brown Rivers

Gilmore Hightower Pick#43 Sherman

Rowe/Harmon/KVN/Pick#95

Dmac Chung

That's pretty decent
----------------------------------------------

Solder Thuney Andrews Mason Cannon

Gronk Cooks Edelman Hogan White

Brady

Bennett/Allen/Dola/Pick #63(RB) + 136(TE)/Mitchell/Flemming or Waddle/Karas

That's fantastic

To bide time until we hear more updates,

To the scheme-heads around here: What system did the Seahawks have Sherman in? Was it all man or a mixture with zone as well?

Then, how well would his skills translate here? From what I understand we run a mix of the two? With Gilmore opposite of him, could we see changes in our philosophy approaching our secondary?

Sorry folks, I'm really bad with terminology and scheme in general, so feel free to pick apart if I'm wrong in my questions.

Maybe theirs nothing to it and Sherman is staying on the other hand you know the Patriots move in silence.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but Gilmore is RCB & Sherman LCB. That part is a natural fit. He played in a primarily cover 3 defense. He’s basically one of the greatest boundary CBs all time.

He did show the ability to even man the slot. He shadowed Edelman on some plays in 2016. With the safety help the CB2 gets in New England he’d be a perfect CB across Gilmore even if he loses some explosiveness.

I lived in Montana for a while and they were sorta split between the Broncos and the Seahawks as far as rooting interest, so I would hear him on the radio a lot and agree or disagree I thought he was a smart, passionate and principled person.

I'll be more stoked than BB at an all-Rutgers scrimmage.

See I thought Sherman was strictly a man-coverage CB. Thanks for the clarification.

What scheme does our defense typically run? I'm assuming we run a litany of variations, but is there some consistency to the general theme?

I would definitely take a chance on Sherman. It’s sounded like he wants to be here too.

Just heard on Felger and Mazz a rumor about Cooks to the Bears for a 2018 2nd round pick. I honestly hope they do move him. He just can’t run routes very well. I can’t believe he got a 1,000 yards last season.

For a second rounder? Bears have the 39th pick. Idk about that one.
