That's good, this was always the most likely outcome. That said, it does sound like the Pats have some things to work out internally, you just can't have your best players openly contemplating retirement like this. There was enough smoke around the team this year that it's only sensible to figure there was probably some fire re: internal discord. And I'm sure a lot of that was just standard **** that happens in any highly competitive workplace, but they've got to get on top of it somehow.

I do think having Edelman back will help, it's seemed for quite a while now like he has a massive effect on the locker room. Branch being gone can't hurt, either.

Good news but if he has another major Injury we can bet the curtains will come on his Patriots career. I think he plays one more year Tops... Two maybe if he goes injury free, I am not betting on the latter with his injury history. Pats need to Scout well at the Position TE is a NEED!

I was about to post that article today. Good news is he's coming back. He's probably still hungry for another Superbowl title too.

I always liked Curran just fine until his article a few days ago that could have just as easily been written by Wickersham. I was astounded at how frothy and careerist it seemed to be - sensationalistic is not too strong a word.
