I think it would make sense to cast a more in depth look at the Ohio State draft prospects seeing as Bill Belichick has a history of drafting players coaches by Urban Meyer and Greg Schiano, both of whom are on the Buckeyes coaching staff now. NFL.com says the following should be drafted:

Billy Price, OL
Tyquan Lewis, DE
Sam Hubbard, DE
JT Barrett, QB
Jalyn Holmes, DE
Chris Worley, ILB
Jamarco Jones, OT
Marcus Baugh, TE
Denzel Ward, CB

But the way I see it, Baugh, Barrett and Worley will be UDFA's. Which means we'll probably select one of them at the top of the second round...

Worley's extremely fast. I can't see him getting past round 4. He's so good in coverage. If he were better against the run, he'd probably be a 2nd rounder.

Holmes has the size we look for, but Lewis already has similar responsibilities to Flowers. His technique is all over the place, but when it's on, he's strong against the run. Good bull rush. He reduces to 3-tech for a lot of his rushes, and is too quick for many guards, but he also drops into coverage at times. Right now he's my main target in the 63 - 95 range. (I also like Kentavius Street for the same reasons, but he's not at Ohio State.)

Ward will be drafted top 20. Otherwise, he would be the perfect bookend to Gilmore. He's the same size as Butler, but a more explosive athlete with more consistent technique. Great competitor.

Jerome Baker is missing off that list...

Definitely keep an eye on defenders from OSU, Schiano connection stronger than ever

Honestly, I'd avoid any players from a Urban Meyer team. He runs an undisciplined program, as we saw at Florida, and his players keep busting in the NFL. Off-field issues always come up, and it's not like we've had a good track record with his players...

I would love to have Hubbard as our #1 pick. Or, a top-3 CB.

I don't believe we've drafted a Meyer player from Ohio State. Bill seems to have moved on since the Florida days.

Ebner was Ohio State, but I don't know if Meyer was there or not yet.

They missed by a year, Ebner played at OSU through 2011 and Meyer started there in 2012.

This is more likely coincidental than causal but it is interesting.
