Gronk considering Acting Career?

While I think this is posturing relating to a contract ploy, I also won't be surprised if he hangs the cleats up in 2-3 years, especially if he gets another serious injury.

Interesting thought.

If he hits his incentives hes looking a $8.9m (I think?)

A bargain for Gronk.

Well Gronk already has a series of Biographical movies on him that have been widely successful (Incredible Hulk, Avengers, Avengers Age Of Ultron, and Thor Ragnarok) so why not.

I wouldn't blame him for wanting to move on from a violent job where people actively head hunt him with few consequences to them and the rules apply differently to him because he's so unique physically. The guy's like Shaq on a football field. With that said, I don't think he'll retire this off-season. He seems to still enjoy the game just as much.

What we have learned over the years Saban Belichick McDaniels is things change quick with commitments and allegiences.

At this point, Kraft could move the team to Montreal and I would not be shocked.

I hear you; we Pats fans are not used to weirdness and drama. That's for the other teams. We're not equipped for it as a fan base. All we can do at this point is pray we get through Day Four of the offseason without another round of upheaval and anxiety.

We don’t need to start sacrificing goats yet.

gronk wants a raise and he deserves one!! enough with this team friendly ****.

can't lose brady's security blanket! leave the pats to start an acting career? LOL
I'm sure he'd feel a lot better about his bargain contract if the money he was saving the team were allocated to a defense capable of not pissing away his 2 TD, 116 yard game in the Super Bowl. Not to mention Brady's bargain contract.

Every draft pick should be spent on D if we retain Danny A done Lewis and Solder

The problem is people will remember him as a football player and won’t take his acting career seriously.
He's never gonna be DeNiro, but the list of athletes who made a name for themselves in Hollywood is pretty substantial.

Arnold Schwartzenegger
OJ
Carl Weathers
Alex Karras
Fred Dwyer
Bubba Smith
The Rock
Merlin Olsen
Ed Marinaro
Kareem Abdul Jabbar
many many more

Do I think he's gonna be Arnold? The Rock? No. Could he Play a role like Jabbar did in Airplane? Sure.

WWE is where I see Gronk after football.
While It would be entertaining to see, I think those guys take too many injuries. Hard to see Gronk continue the punishment after his playing days are done. Just my opinion.

Gronk, Edelman, Dola, and James Van Der Beek in a reboot of Varsity Blues. Who’s not watching that?

I can’t even imagine the cringeworthy mess that would be. I’m sure he could do some action movie stuff but I’m equally sure he can’t act for ****.
According to Michaels and Collinsworth, he deserves an Oscar.

Having witnessed Gronk's thespian skills, I think .....with a lot of coaching.....Gronk might be able to slide into this role..........

in the remake of The Office
But.....I also think this character would test Gronk's ceiling.

The aftermath of this Super Bowl is something I have never seen in my life and I'm 46.

If Gronk leaves for show business he will wind up broke and living in his car after the jobs dry up and his fame wears off.

God I hope he doesn't retire.

Their offense will be loaded next year.

Really? I think he's handsome and funny enough. He'd do fine with Rock-like comedy spoofs, which seem to make a lot of $$ these days. Wouldn't you go to see him in a movie? At least once just for the laughs? Not that I want him to leave. I hope he heals up in the offseason and decides his heart is still in it on the field.
