Hey guys

Since we all heard that Brady is apparently nursing some hand injury, not sure if minor or major, I got thinking about what we'd look like if Brian Hoyer had to step in if Brady couldn't go for one reason or another. I haven't seen Hoyer play in a long time, I remember him playing for Houston and Cleveland, but he didn't have near the coaching or talent around him that he has here. With Jacksonville on Sunday, and if we got there, Philly or Minnesota in the SB, could he be the starting QB and defeat those teams? Honest opinions please

He'll probably do as well as Zolak did when he started a playoff game.

What if there was an earthquake?
A terrible flood?
Locusts!

My honest opinion is no. He could not do it . That said, anything’s possible but if you look at hoyer stats and remember seeing him play, it’s something worse than revelation 13th chapter mixed with the it monster clown.

I hope we don't have to find out, and it doesn't seem like we will.

But, I have to think that Hoyer, back with the Pats for a half-season now, would be significantly better than we'd expect based on his career since leaving the Pats. Not anywhere near Brady level, and probably not JimmyG level, but possibly good enough to win the AFCCG.

Superbowl? IDK. Maybe depends on the opponent and how good the Pats defense really is.

Hoyer is good with the short and intermediate stuff. Jaguars would likely stack the box daring him to go long.

I think Hoyer could be relatively effective for short stretches within a game but I would not have confidence for a full game. That said, the Pats were able to beat a decent Texans team last year with Brissett so who knows.

It’s those damn locusts that screw everything up.
they're not so bad. fry them up in a little oil, toss in a little salt, tasty, crunchy, good source of protein. healthier than doritos.
