The GOAT of the interwebs!
You mean Cheat-ian? I heard he serves his kids warm Gatorade and I’m pretty sure another forum manager claimed that he saw him peeping with binoculars as he was rolling out his latest site update.

Also, the tire pressure on his car gets lower during the winter. Just saying.

"Look.....I'm not saying I'm the Mona Lisa Vito of the bandwidth world....."

I concur with all of the sentiment supporting Ian, it is also the best moderated sports site... due to the leadership of Ian.

The ability to move inappropriate or troll posts to the "Practice Forum" was and is genius...

Hey all. I want to take a second and give thanks to the AMAZING guy who makes this forum and site possible. Without him, we wouldn't be a part of the Best Damn Fan Site on the Intrawebs..

Thank you, Mr. Ian Logue.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are one helluva guy. Thank you for everything you've done and thank you for all your hard work.

How much longer is Ian gonna be moderating this forum? I heard there are disagreements with his management style. Some of the other mods are being aggressively courted and some posters have already been denied access to the site. This is the beginning of the end.

Personally I’d like to thank @Ian for everything he does for all us fans on this forum. He’s brought thousands of us from all over the world to connect to the greatest franchise that’s ever existed.

I find myself repeatedly amazed at how well this site is run, particularly in light of the diversity and wide-ranging personalities populating it. There's an abundance of passion around here and at times that leads to nastiness and an unwillingness to even consider alternate viewpoints. I find myself sometimes regretting things I write and find it even more exasperating when I repeat that mistake over and over again. I suppose it's related to the one characteristic many of us share-namely, a passion for and appreciation of a team we love. Anyway, Ian deftly handles it all with a great combination of empathy and control. Kudos to him for a job consistently well-done.

I drink, and I know things.

One of the things I know is that Ian is the frikkin' king of the mountain when it comes to fan sites.

Thanks Ian, not only for this site, but for putting up with all of us who show up every day.

One thing I notice about this site is how much better the layout/design is than other boards, even with something like fonts and things. You can read long, intricate posts here while other boards seem limited to slogans and 10 words of nonsense.

Of course, part of that is how stupid other fans are. ;)

Call me jaded, but my second thought was, "What did @DaBruinz do that he needs to get on Ian's good side"

Mt first thought was, "It's true and doesn't get stated often enough how easy and feature rich this site is for us fans." And then the quality of posters is also pretty high (My apologies to everyone if for bringing down the average:) )

I never thought Id follow a forum site.
I never thought Id post on any forum (still the only one).
...
Yet here i am . wasting considerable part of my precious long distance life..

Thanks, Ian

And THANKS!

RPF - It's been years since I've had a run in with the Mods or Ian. :p:p:p:p

The reason for the thread is actually because Ian took care of a situation. Not only did he take care of it, but he went out of his way to explain several things that he didn't need to. Most other board Admins wouldn't have bothered doing that.

Ian deserves to hear from the people here who appreciate what he does because, as I found out, we see a very VERY limited amount of what truly goes into taking care of this forum..

Ian - I know you thought you were venting, but I truly appreciated the insight you gave me on how tough owning and running this site truly is my friend.

the site really is a marvel, i remember back in the 07-12 years we'd have issues every so often, but nothing at all for a long time lately

also, don't foget yall can be members of the site and support Ian, his work, and the site, and it's really really not expensive, FYI

"Took care of a situation"... sigh, guess I'll go get the shovel...
