Is it because he's reporting on something you don't like or because you think there's absolutely nothing going on?

Because I'd be hard pressed to believe that there is nothing going on but I do think it's been blown out of proportion. Still, even if the workplace friction is minimal I don't think Curran should lose credibility for reporting on it.
Both - we are in the midst of a playoff run and he aligns himself with all the Chicken Littles instead of talking about the GAME this weekend and how the Pats are going to beat the Titans. Remember? There is actually a playoff game on Saturday.

I'm not even going to read it because Curran was on the radio yesterday giving credence to this whole made up BS story. He's lost a lot of credibility with me.
It Curran speculation what tom Brady was thinking (how underappreciated he is and how unfairly he gets treated) when he got into an argument with mcd.
Starts out by explains that has a comfortable office chair at his locker while every one else has a folding chair, and that started this year.

I think Curran boss got pissed that’s some out of town hack made up a story about discord in New England and got all this attention while he is being paid to. So Curran has to make up his own version. Kind of despicable actually.

His job isn't to focus on what is important to the team and diehard fans, though. It's a big story so I really can't fault him for covering it.

...and the office chair was a gag gift given to him by his teammates.

He didn’t “cover” it.
COVERING IT would have involved some real work like investigating the actual claims in the story, getting sources to conform or deny those claims, preferably on the record.
Sitting down and writing a made up thought process and pretending it’s what tom brady thinks, despite brady publicly saying otherwise is lazy and disingenuous.
Clearly his boss asked him to be more like Wickersham and he wagged his tail put on his thinking cap and started typing.

What the hell was this?

Is Curran really taking on the responsibility to explain to us all the reasons Tom has to be pissed off at the world, BB and Kraft?

He cherry picked aspects of Wickershams article to justify his own.

So Curran is now speculating that under all zen, life is great stuff Tom says, he is pissed off, feeling under appreciated and a disgruntled employee who has been taken advantage of time and time again.

Great work, Curran. You are now in Wickershamville

The problem is it's a big fairy tale, not a big story.

Edit - and PS - that SHOULD be his job, even if he thinks it isn't.

Lots of candidates for "Patriot Post of the Week" going up in flames.

Regards,
Chris

I bet the ratings suck for his show so hes resorting to Felgerism.
It’s embarrassing.
He’s always been a pretty solid guy.

I just think that nbc sports got pissed that they pay him to follow the patriots and the dbag espn out of town we figured out how to use the patriots to create attention.
So Curran agreed tobsinm to his level.

I think he is hoping there will now be lots of talk about the chair and that brady is unhappy so nbc sports cam get some attention.

Frankly its worse than Wickersham because he is a known attention whore with no integrity of reporting.
Curran should be better than that.

Agree. He stooped low on this one.

Bedard has a write up of what his sources have told him and it seems pretty reasonable to me. He also says he doesn't expect it to derail the team this year or going forward, and that each of the parties is right in his own way.

Bedard's piece is now unlocked for us unwashed non-BSJ members: Bedard: On ESPN's Patriots story, and what I've been told about Kraft, Belichick and Brady

I view him and Curran in the same regard - and both seem to be saying that Wickersham's stuff wasn't terrible.

There's no way to square the opinions of these 3 men with the pretty adamant denials from Brady, Belichick and Kraft. You just have to choose whom to believe.

Well the Seth guy made a dozens of accusations and most of them didn’t take place even take place and when something happened the story around it was all fabricated. We should stop giving the mediots our consideration because they have lied so much. Brady , BB and Kraft addresses all these accusations, you should believe them over any mediot.

This is the part that cracks me up.
Probably like every other couple in the world my girlfriend and I often have disagreements that center in what the other person meant by what they said or did. Two people living together with each others interests at heart, and feelings get hurt by not understanding the other persons perspective. Again probably happens to everyone perhaps with different frequency.

So we are now witnessing that people who don’t even know brady, belichick, and kraft (or barely do if curransgans case) should go to work and be paid to see a bunch of unrelated things, missing large amount of detail, and tell us not only how they perceive them, but also how they feel about them and they must be right.
This is without question one of the saddest fallouts if the internet. Anyone can say anything they want and they will find people willing to believe them.

It's "social" media....makes me want to drink alone again.

You can’t be more right. People are so willing and eager to believe this stuff because everyone is so hungry for drama and intrigue, and won’t even acknowledge the truth when it does come out.
