ESPN hitpiece on Patriots (Rift with Brady/Belichick/Kraft) - Merged

Of course it stops it. It actually did. No one recited it to him. I didn’t read the article is the easy no comment coverall. It’s just smart.
First question-

Q: Was there a mandate from Patriots' owner Robert Kraft to trade Jimmy Garoppolo?

BB: Mike [Giardi], I haven't read the article. I've already commented at length about that situation. Nothing has happened since then, so I don't have anything to add to it.

Fifth question-

Q: In the ESPN article last week, you were characterized as furious and demoralized following a discussion regarding the future of the quarterback position. Would that be an accurate characterization?

So it's did not work to end the questions if that was his plan- which I doubt it was. There's a far simpler explanation for him saying he didn't read the article- because he didn't. And he knows what's in it because everyone's been talking about it for a week so there's thousands of secondary sources.

I don't know whether he read it or not. I do know that speculation that he's been caught in some lie is evidence free.

"Patriot of the Week" is probably like "Employee of the Month" at McDonald's: Given out to young guys to recognize their hard work and perhaps provide encouragement to keep up the effort, but not something the more senior folks give two dumps about.

I'm picturing Brady *****ing to Giselle about how some research intern got "Patriot of the Week" over him. It's a silly picture.

Regards,
Chris
Matt light was talking about it. He made it sound like a practice player if the week, but it seriously is like McDonald’s employee of the week.
Light said there was a guy who won it (couldn’t even remember the guys name) and when B.B. hung his picture up ( they really do that) he looked just like the geico caveman.
So light when out and had a picture of the Geico caveman printed up to match it. The guy won again later and light replaced his real picture with the caveman one.

I can see why a guy struggling for accolades like brady would be so despondent to not get that award.

We will have to agree to disagree. I don’t know whether he read it or not but if he did I’m pretty sure he still would have said he didn’t.

That is the most generic useless sentence ever. "Tom has changed". Into what ? A ****ing butterfly ? And then "a friend". There were times when Evan Silva that fat hack was considering himself a friend of TB.

Tom had indeed changed the past few years, he has turned into a GOAT.

Here's an open question to Wickersam to test the veracity of the article. He claims Belichick met with Goodell in the last week. When did it happen? It shouldn't be hard to prove or disprove as Belichick didn't jet off to NY midweek or if he did it would have been noticed if he was away from Gillette or if Goodell showed up at Gillette or left NY...

Give me 2.5 more years of Tom over a decade of JG. Teams scratch and claw to win 1 Super Bowl with hall of fame QBs. We have a legend who gets it done. These suckers want us to end our story short??? So now they’ve worked it so even if we win we lose. They have loser mentality. The future is not guaranteed. Who knows what JG and his collarbone will be(Tony Romo) who knows what our second round pick will amount to. All I know is we have a must win on Saturday and I love this team. Give them nothing, take from them everything.

One hell of a 1st post .... borderline hype post like a hype video.

Matt Light is awesome.

said no Joker ever...:D

In the victorious locker room Sat night, I will be very disappointed if BB doesn't give Brady the Patriot of the Week award, accompanied by a dry, "We all know how much you've wanted this" to a room of laughter.

Regards,
Chris

The funny part is this isn't a unanimous sentiment.

my point is simple, I hope the successful people of the New England Patriots find a way (whenever that is) to go out on a high note, because even the staunchest of Patriots haters should respect whats been done and I don't really want to see Tom Brady in Miami like Thurman Thomas did, or Bill coaching the Browns and then retiring, etc. When and if each one is "done" be done at New England. Speaking from experience, it always suck when a Bill Polian goes to Indy or a Thurman Thomas goes to Miam, Bruce to Washington, Beebee to Greenbay, etc.

This is a much different situation. I mean this respectfully. The Bills did not win a championship rather had four heart breaks in a row. The Pats have won five and are in the mix for six. No matter what happens from here on out we will always have those seventeen years of magic. Any kind of breakup or let down will suck but to me it doesn't matter how it ends because what is ending is just miraculous to begin with.

So whatever it is ..... it is what it is.

Philosophies work but there are always exceptions...Tom earned his exception...10 times over.

Give me Tom all day and every day and TWICE on Sunday.

It's no more or less complicated than that.

Now there is an argument over whether or not there is a Patriots Player of the Week, who really cares about any of this??... aside from creating banter on sports talk radio it does not matter... BB denies meeting with Goodell is he a liar??

Wickersham may have been fed some erroneous information, and when the erroneous information was substantiated by another anonymous source he thought he stumbled on something..

We all fall into some trap in situations such as this, and get involved in parsing words, body language and who says what and when.. this is the first game of the 2018 Tournament for us.. switch gears on to Tennessee.

I think it’s hilarious that Volin called Brady “ selfish” for not stepping aside for Garrapolo. I guess that makes Belichick “ selfish” for not stepping aside for McDaniels or Patricia.

Sad thing is, the Garrapolites agree with him.

Trollin' Volin has always enjoyed jabbing Belichick, Brady, the team and, by association, the fans. But, lately he's really gone off the rails. His recent columns have been particularly unrealistic and irrational.

He actually said that ? What is going on in this guys brain ?

It is incredibly selfish of Brady to not step aside from doing what he loves, excels at and makes millions of dollars from.

That guy is about to win the MVP and has a good shot in playing the seventh AFCCG in a row... peak Volin..
