A reminder Jon Gruden didn't win a single playoff game in his past 6 seasons in the league.

$100 million.

I'm convinced Belichick would get a lifetime deal worth over $500M from some struggling team if he was ever available, lol
I am blown away by this.

One Hundred Million Dollars-----------------------no cents/xx

I believe the general thought is BB makes 7.5 a yr so 10 isn't too crazy. Now if Gruden is actually worth it is another question and length might be another question too.

Let's put it this way BB would easily be worth that.

Well, for the hell of doing the math....

When BB took over the NEP the franchise valuation was $464m. That was a 1% increase over 1999. They ranked 10th

For comparison, Dallas was #2 at 713m. Skins were #1 $741m.

In 2016, Dallas was $4.3b... 83% increase over 2000
NE was #2 at $3.4b ...86% increase over 2000
Skins #5 @ $2.95b...75% increase over 2000

You could argue BB is responsible for 3% of the increase as 3% of $3.4b is $102,000,000 (using DAL +3%).

It would not surprise me to learn BB has been paid $100m+++ in the 17 years he has been here which is well worth it.

No wonder Gruden left the cushy job for that contract. Ridiculous contract..

Meh. I'd take Gruden and Shanny over Lewis in a heartbeat

Not convinced about Gruden, he has been away from the sidelines for 9 years now, and when he was there he was also mediocre...

My initial point was that there are not a lot of HC candidates in the pipeline.. so when Mike Brown looked around regarding the pickings if he were to fire Lewis, then there were not a lot of folks ready to fill his shoes..

Mike Brown was not going to pay 10 million per for Gruden.. not sure why anyone, but a fool, would do that.

Just to add on this thought since it had been brought up about them offering him an ownership stake, apparently the Broncos offered Elway a certain percentage at one point back in the day (interested to know when that was, considering they were likely trying to circumvent the cap...again) and he turned it down.

According to Curran and Mayo on the Quick Slants podcast, that percentage would be worth around 400 million dollars, today. Elway has to get up everyday and think about that for the rest of his life.

$10m is madness. I'd still take him over Lewis

Been saying this for about a year lol

Josh would be INSANE to put his 2nd and probably last chance at a head coaching career in the hands of Marcus Mariota who was never that good to begin with and has regressed massively.

The quarterback situation should be more important than a Patriot connection unless he wants to blow his 2nd chance.

3200 yards 13 TDs 15 picks for Mariota this year

Not if he thinks he can fix him.

The Jared Goff/Jeff Fisher principle. If you replace a coach that is severely mismanaging the assets of a team, there is lots of room for improvement.

I guess there will be another opening in Kansas City. There's no way that fan base will support the team with Andy Reid on charge.

What choice do they have? He is no worse than everyone else they have had in many years. At least he makes the playoffs.

I mean I would never have hired him to begin with but I think they stick with him.

Will Nagy get a head coach job now.
Since they were one and done.
