I would like to see what Brian Flores could do as DC. Although we would lose the Patricia Militia nickname that no one uses

That was a agree + funny rating. I would like to see what Brian could do as well.

A reminder Jon Gruden didn't win a single playoff game in his past 6 seasons in the league.

$100 million.

I'm convinced Belichick would get a lifetime deal worth over $500M from some struggling team if he was ever available, lol
The Raiders are so stable and like, really smart.

Patricia needs to leave and become a head coach somewhere. I think he has earned the right to take over a team.

I would love to see what Flores can do as dc.

Please do not bring back the clown that Green Bay just cut lose!

You know I'm probably in the minority here, and I know coaches who have been out of the game forever usually bomb unless you're **** Vermeil, but I actually think Gruden 2.0 in OAK might work. Gruden's hopeless developing talent at QB--just ask Chris Simm's spleen--but he did well with established veterans like Gannon and (ugh) Brad Johnson. He might be able to get Carr to play at the top of that second-tier level. Lot of talent on that roster, and he knows how the wacky politics of the Raiders front office works. If he puts a good staff together and can check his ego a bit, honestly, there's so much bad coaching out there right now I don't see why he wouldn't jump past a lot of people pretty quickly.

Obviously the contract is comical, but that's another story.

Agreed. Also, a lot of players different perform up to par this year for Oakland. Not just Carr.

Keep that Oline together. Add depth.
Maybe another TE or WR

They gotta figure out their secondary. Pair Melifonwu w/ Joseph (SS), Obi at FS. Conley will be healthy.

Maybe target Vea & Ward in the draft to finish that defense.

I like Vanderdoes, Edwards, Mack

The Raiders sure do like bringing back old coaches.

Hard to imagine him being much worse than Jack Del Rio, so that right there is worth something.

10m a year average? Who knows, but if it drums up fan interest and they end up going to the playoffs in the next couple of years it will make them plenty of money to justify their decision.

$10m is madness. I'd still take him over Lewis

No doubt, however he has been away from the sidelines for 10 years now and Mike Brown is not going to pay any NFL coach 10 Million... If Gruden does not live up to expectations, then Davis is on the hook for a lot of cash..

Davis would look like more of an idiot than he already does

Titans ownership just released a statement cementing Mike is their guy and will be going forward.
Although if Chiefs wouldn't of gone all Andy Reid may of been a different scenario all together.

Sunday brought word that Brian Gutekunst is the new Packers General Manager and the team made it official on Monday.

In addition to announcing Gutekunst’s promotion to the top job in the personnel departement, the Packers also announced a couple of other changes. One is the promotion of Russ Ball, who was also up for the job, to executive vice president/director of football operations.

Packers announce Brian Gutekunst as G.M., other changes to front office

Which again shows @AndyJohnson that your opinions about HC hirings might not necessarily mesh with what is happening in reality.

Or that the bears are out of touch with reality.

Connected to that:

Making the Browns Green Bay south isn't going to work without them finding another Aaron Rodgers (a/k/a legit elite QB).
