The comments on that article are idiotic. “Well they never had a backup as good as Jimmy so Brady has never really had to compete for his job anyway!”

Brady only got his f***ing job in the first place by competing his ass off. He was constantly competing to play at Michigan. He worked so hard as a rookie that it caused Belichick to carry FOUR QBs on the roster. Almost immediately he worked his way from fourth to second behind Bledsoe and when he got his opportunity to play due to Bledsoe’s injury, he ran away with the job and never looked back. And it won the team their first Super Bowl in history.

Does that sound like a guy who would have a hissy fit and demand his backup be traded away because he’s “a threat”?

Brady just posted a poem on Instagram a couple weeks ago before playing the Steelers about how those who have to fight and compete for everything grow to become the strongest of all, using metaphors about trees and men becoming “Forest Kings”.

This narrative runs completely counter to everything most of us as fans should know about Brady.

Brady has 2 Super bowls, in every afc championship and appears to be the 2017 season mvp.

And if Kraft did try to tell him he could couldn't make a trade I think Belichick would follow his instructions and follow them up with a short note to them informing them that “I, Bill Belichick, will no longer be the HC of the NEP.”

I agree, but I also think that Belichick would wait for the season to be over before quitting, if an event like that happened during the season. I think he feels enough loyalty to his players to not abandon them mid-season, no matter how angry he might be.
