Do people not trust bill to draft another QB high this year and groom him to be a solid starter? I do. Even Brisett while unpolished has shown he is an NFL player and can at least Play in Indy.

Brady just outlasted Jimmy. you can look at it as a good thing or bad. I look at it as a good thing because we just won 2 superbowls in the last 3 years and are the #1 seed in the playoffs with a 40year old brady playing at an MVP level.

with Brady we are THE Team to beat the next couple of years and are pretty much a coinflip every year from the superbowl. With Jimmy G we are probably still a playoff team. but are we a coinflip? probably not.

Bill will draft someone high this year. probably in the 1st or 2nd and develop them the next 2-3 years. I trust the patriots player development.

Bedard is not a sensationalist. He has some level of ethics but he is however by nature a total tease. Woth that said he has offered nothing - like Finn who i really like, that advances this story. Just innuendo and speculation.

When Rhody, illegal contact, Triumph and many others started shrieking about Brady’s decline and the need to go to Garrapolo after the KC game in 2014 I said I would wait until Brady showed real signs of decline before supporting the move to Garrapolo or another QB, and since that time all that has happened has been Brady playing better than any other player in the NFL, and Brady leading the Patriots to the two best comebacks in Super Bowl History. And all Brady has done this season is to lead the Patriots to the #1 seed in the AFC, (sorry Garrapolites it’s impossuble to lead them to the # 1 seed in both conferences), be named the starter to the All Pro team, and the most likely player to be named MVP. None of these are considered signs of decline by any sane person. Had Brady struggled after his return last season and followed it up with an average 2017 I would be among those saying it’s time for him to hang them up, and I would have opposed the Garrapolo trade because it would have been time for the succession and in the best interests of the team. I also think that had that happened Beady would have been the first to recognize it and would have told Belichick that this was his last year. The most striking things to me about this is that so called Patriot fans want Brady to step down while he’s still the best player in football, and that those same “fans” are openly rooting for the Patriots to fail. No real fan of any team wants them to fail so I don’t consider those people to be actual fans. And now that I am paying more attention to it I’m realizing that almost all of those posters only engage in threads about replacing Brady with Garrapolo, which means they are simply trolling this site.

OK. To me, what he's done with the BSJ is on the edge of transforming and dominating the area's professional sports news. I teased him today about why he's waiting to hire Finn, Reiss, and Curran, to complete the capturing of assets. The work on the Celtics is worth the subscription alone.

Boston sports journalism has been so bad for so long. Not just the writing, but the infrastructure and business model. He's filling a long-standing vacuum. So it almost doesn't matter if he's a tease or not.

I suspect that there is something to all this. It just isn't a big deal. And if it isn't a big deal, then the real story is how quickly and efficiently Belichick dealt with it, and then moved on.

If Belichick wanted to put to bed any insecurity on Brady's part about being traded or replaced, he'd trade away the guy who might replace him to the one team that Brady would accept a trade to. Now there's no viable replacement (there's no rising second stringer) and no viable trading partner (SF has their starter). And that's what happened, and the coincidence isn't lost on me.

This whole thing was probably a relatively minor issue to him, and he just dealt with it and moved on.

Yea I've picked up my level of troll awareness as well. I'm so done with it and if people want to troll they will get it back in kind.
