I want 1, 2, 3 or all 4 things in this order.

1. The team to win more Super Bowls
2. BB to stay and run the show
3. Tom to stay, run the show and retire here.
4. The next Brady to be drafted .

Love TB12 but sorry, as long as they are a legit title contender who is under center is irrelevent to me.

Going 4-12 just so Tom can finish his career here isn't appealing to me at all.

Most of those arguing for trading Brady are not Patriot fans. The fact that they are openly rooting for the demise of the Patriots makes that clear.

He was arguing the opposite as you. He was saying that Brady is going to be a better player over the next few years than Garoppolo. That going to Garoppolo now is to have a lesser player at QB. I don't think he's wrong.

Reiss had some carefully measured, level-headed thoughts this am.

Boy the BB comment at the end makes me a little nervous but unlike the hit piece he isn't throwing gasoline on smoke.

"Inner turmoil" would be too strong of a description from my perspective. The Patriots have always had a demanding, challenging work environment. My feeling is that however one describes the dynamic in 2017 -- and I do believe this year has come with its own unique challenges specific to Tom Brady, Belichick, Jimmy Garoppolo, Alex Guerrero, Robert Kraft, etc. -- it isn't anything that can't be overcome for everyone involved to accomplish their goals. Winning can always smooth over some of the turbulence. I also believe it is accurate that some in the building wonder about Belichick's future, and that's partially because he doesn't reveal his intentions to anyone, coupled with some of the unique dynamics from the season.

Yep.

Watching superstar athletes deteriorate and the team suck is not something I'm interested in seeing.

Yea I think I responded to the wrong post. I agree with him.

I'm totally fine with Tom not being a Top 3 MVP QB . If BB does his job and builds a great team around him he won't need to be. As long as he's helping the team win and they are a legit SB contender , keep the machine running.

Getting rid of Brady is Rhody’s only interest. He’s not a Patriot fan he’s a troll.
But when has a troll's purpose been to be intelligent or engaged. They drop a dump or two and come back later and repeat.

If tbe team is in that much turmoil not saying it is you would see McDaniels Patricia and Caserio all bolt this season or one hoping to take over the team.

When people say Wickersham had 14 sources for the article inside the Patriots, realize that there were many anecdotes in the article. He could have talked to 13 people about deflategate, and only one person (a disgruntled trainer?) about all the other crap.

So don't buy this "numerous" sources stuff. That could mean anything.
Jeff Howe has an article up that essential has his sources refuting everything Wickersham says, or saying the impression Wickersham gave is dead wrong.(example yes B.B. and Brady disagree on Guerrero but howes sources say it’s a normal part of he relationship and there is no tension because of it and Wickersham says it’s divorce material)
Who is more believable? The Espn guy or the guy who covers the team every day.

Whether they get opportunities to be promoted to hc or gm jobs has nothing to do with turmoil, nor would the fact that they do what everyone else in that position does and take the promotion.

That’s Rhody

If you notice throughout this thread every time the Garrapolites are asked to back up their claims they completely fail to do so. Whether it’s statistics or sources with credibility they are completely bankrupt, but the one thing that stands out is just how hard they are rooting for the Patriots to fail and Garrapolo to succeed.

The fact Josh has turned down HC jobs in the past to stay with Brady's age the possible turmoil not knowing if your mentor is committed to stay 100 percent.
He would either bolt for a good opportunity more so than before or have his yes on the main seat here.

Who is more credible depends upon their actual sources and the credibility of the claims they are making. In the abstract it could be either, in this case the ESPN article has shown no credibility at all, as well as blatantly making things up.

Except he hasn’t turned down jobs.
Bizarre to say that a coordinator would shock you to take a HC job and normal would be to say no.

The thing to keep in mind is that for all the non Pats fans, this is their only hope. Look, we love the Pats but there is definitely Pats fatigue among the other 31 teams and fan base. The hope was that the Pats dynasty would eventually end. They tried with the camera scam and the air pressure fiasco but nothing worked. And Brady is looking as good as ever. So what do the 31 have to look forward to? Another 3-5 years of Pats dominance. And I bet they are not happy with that.

What is sad is the Pats excellence should be a model and something that is viewed upon in a positive way. Their success is the result of hard work and a desire to be the best. But instead it is viewed in a way that is representative of our modern world, with jealousy and envy and something that has to be destroyed.

The Lollipop Guild doesn't quite get the fact that the ESPN story was a hit piece on Tom Brady/Alex Guerrero and FOB (Friends of Bill) are behind it.

Yeah, absolutely. Well spotted, Sherlock.

If Belichick wants to get a story out to the media, Wickersham would be the OBVIOUS choice to leak things to, wouldn't he? I mean, he's clearly a Belichick stooge. Why else would he publish articles like this one:

"Goodell had imposed a $500,000 fine on Belichick, a $250,000 fine on the team and the loss of a first-round draft pick just four days after league security officials had caught the Patriots and before he'd even sent a team of investigators to Foxborough, Massachusetts. Those investigators hadn't come up empty: Inside a room accessible only to Belichick and a few others, they found a library of scouting material containing videotapes of opponents' signals, with detailed notes matching signals to plays for many teams going back seven seasons. Among them were handwritten diagrams of the defensive signals of the Pittsburgh Steelers, including the notes used in the January 2002 AFC Championship Game won by the Patriots 24-17. Yet almost as quickly as the tapes and notes were found, they were destroyed, on Goodell's orders: League executives stomped the tapes into pieces and shredded the papers inside a Gillette Stadium conference room."

In addition to just not making any sense.

But it’s blatantly obvious that the quality Of sources will be better with a local guy

Plus fans of the other 31 want the Pats' demise to be as messy as possible so they can revel in it.
