How hard is it for people to understand that we weren’t going to be able to pay Jimmy next offseason anyways? Why wouldn’t we at least get some value for him?

I don't understand. BB should have kept Jimmy and Brady. Instead of doing what he obviously should have, he traded away Jimmy. And that trade obviously means Brady hates BB, BB hates Kraft, Kraft hates BB, Alex Guerro hates Jimmy, BB hates Alex, and everyone but Brady hates Avocado ice cream.

Kraft needs to step back and stay out of football operations!

He needs to stick to what he does best, drink and go to therapy!!!

Leave bb alone. Kraft already ran parcels out of the house, is he doing the same to bb?

Are there any mediators with experience dealing with billionaire drunks and maniacal egomaniac head coaches!!!!

Kraft has not gotten involved in football operations.

And I hate Avocado ice cream.

See? It all comes full circle.

What does 3 mean? He “worked with” Gronk and Edelman? In what way?
Sounds to me like that's saying he was the mouthpiece publishing leaks or statements by the Gronk family. I recall when Gronk was having injury issues (think it was the broken forearm infection) his family was pushing their message to the press directly, independent of the team. Sounds like this is saying he was their sock puppet for those statements.

Ding! Ding! We have a winner! Johnny, tell Ochmed what he was won!

Here's the thing, there is nothing, nada, zero actual evidence that Kraft has gotten involved to "overrule" a BB football ops decision except for sports media inferences or "unnamed sources" that carry the credibility weight of 10,000 photons.

If the record and legend BB has amassed in the 18 years as the supreme commander of football operations does not equal carte blanche football ops decision making, and Kraft decided now to step in to throw around his ownership weight due to sentimentality or hubris or 'I know better', then the proverbial die has been cast. The demise of the dynasty is now etched in stone.

With that said, Kraft was fortunate to learn an amazingly important lesson from his laughable mistake with the Bill Parcells debacle: owners run the business, GMs/HCs run the football ops. And if Kraft has forgotten that amazingly important rule then, again, the die is cast. To paraphrase Parcells (I believe it was Parcells): Kraft isn't fit to carry BB's jock(when it comes to football decisions).

This is crap I can't believe people are so infatuated with this piece.
Anytime the Patriots are in a article especially when it predicts their demise people eat it like up like crazy.

This article has something for everyone, except those wanting good writing and journalism.

I love avocado ice cream, ESPN, and sticking my **** in electrical outlets.

Maybe you should try soft lighting. mood music, and whispering sweet nothings to the outlet before going for the whole 9 yards.

why the **** would BB want to go to the giants??? they arent close to winning a SB!!

don't care about losing mcdaniels, he's a mediocre coach who drafted tim tebow. wouldn't mind billy o'brien if belichick actually decides to leave.

or, harbaugh!!

one of bill's flunkies was the source for that article. probably lombardi. that garbage makes tb12 look bad. and now that joint statement wtf??

Good point about Willie Mac's role. As I've been catching up on this thread I've got NFL Network's Total Access tuned in the background, and just a little while ago they introduced their coverage of this topic by suggesting it was all Willie's fault for introducing TB to Guerrero.

He chuckled and then copped to possibly owning responsibility for players feeling pressured to train with Guerrero. He explained that was because of the locker room commmitment to doing everything expected and more to improve. So doing what the team trainers prescribe is the minimum expected. Going to Guerrero for more therapy and training is part of that extra credit mentality.

Made sense to me.
I think people forget that Willie Mac was the one that introduced Brady to Alex G. For those old enough to remember Willie had some groin problems early in his career and credits Alex with helping him get back on track. Not privy to his client list, but that is two decades of success in helping Patriots stay on the field. If you listen to Curran on quick slants, Curran indicates that BB himself respects Alex's work. That is part of why he has a place adjacent to the stadium and treats so many Patriots. But when Alex starts questioning the Pats training methods, it is time to remind him of his place. JMHO, but I think Alex does good work, but has a tendency to overstep his bounds.

It's time for Seth Wickersham to get his life completely ruined. Gloves off. An organized group of hackers need to utilize the dark net and proliferate his name across all the illegal sites promoting drugs, illegal porn, weapons, hiring hit men etc etc. Making anonymous complaints to the IRS about non-compliance and money laundering should also be carried out. Seth Wickersham needs to become a walking bullseye for thousands of pi$$ed off Patriots fans. There is no fair play with a scumbag like this, therefore he gets to taste that which he so easily uses on US without remorse or feeling.

I have a feeling a hack like him will hang himself eventually, he sounded like a clown when he was on Dale & Holley.

Kraft has said his formula for success is to hire the right football people and stand back and let them do their job. It's worked for 18 years, you think he changed philosophy with a all the success he's had?
