ESPN hitpiece on Patriots (Rift with Brady/Belichick/Kraft) - Merged

Nothing in that clip says what Bruce Allen claimed. Allen made it sound like the article explicitly said Brady demanded they trade Jimmy G. All this reads is that Brady and Kraft are tight and Kraft told BB Jimmy had to go. That really hasn't been anything we didn't already hear. As far as "He (brady) Won!; well, yeah. He's still here.

This is more an indictment on Bruce Allen than anyone else.
Lets not float this crap story they kraft made B.B. trade jag into something legitimate because idiots have spouted it.

PFT claiming the article does NOT claim that Brady in fact demanded Kraft trade Jimmy.

People will claim this is proof of backtracking but it was the goofball Bruce Allen who reported that, so who knows. If there's smoke, there's fire..
Or someone is blowing smoke. And folks like you are getting it in their eyes.

Source: ESPN readying new hit piece on Jamba Juice, Sbarro and Panda Express set to publish tomorrow morning at 8am. The topic will be a power struggle among the trio as to who deserves the most credit for Natick Mall's success.

Sbarro, obviously. You can't build a good food court without a strong pizza joint.

Honestly, here's what is probably going to happen.

To punish Brady, BB will trade Brady to CLE. The Collins punishment.

Kraft will trade BB to CLE. He knows that's hell on football earth for BB.

Kraft will step down. But then Haslam in CLE will go to jail. So Kraft will take over CLE.

Goodell resigns and uses his fortunate amassed as commissioner to buy the Patriots. He then hires Grigson as GM who brings in Ted Wells and Blandino as his left and right hand men.

If we are going to describe the nightmare then we might as well go all friggin in. :)

Tom Curren isn't exactly denying this story yet (not knowing exactly what the report of course). He's pushing an article he wrote last week -
Patriots run feels like it's winding down

Basically he's saying there is more friction than usually seen, which is causing more uncertainty. And in other tweets he's assuming 3rd parties in the organization are the ones leaking the info because they're feeling the uncertainties - but of course since they're 3rd parties they aren't privy to exactly what's happening. Which jives with the "Patriots staffer" info from Bruce Allen, where someone has some of the story right but is conjecturing on feelings, reactions, and motivations because they aren't the core actors.

************ that is a nightmare.

Gawd. I might move to Montana. Marry big American woman and raise rabbits.

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, I knew who wrote the story. The same gutter dwelling lowlife who penned the previous smear piece during deflategate about the Patriots, and other hit pieces disguised as 'investigative journalism'. Having suffered through a few of these 'works' now, I really don't even need to read this one to know it will contain
- few actual facts
- few actual sources
- quotes taken out of context
- rampant guesswork posing as logic
- unrelated events tied together to bolster a conclusion
- omission of any facts that contradict the arguments being made

Same old, same old from ESPN and Wickerscum. They must literally lie in wait each season as the Pats roll into the playoffs and cast about for things to try to tear them down with. The sad thing is these articles do gather a lot of attention in the short term, because it's the Patriots. I guess we should be proud that our team is such a ratings magnet whenever they're talked about :)

I did not think my opinion of modern media could get any lower.
Vega$ Calling.

What else could it be?

This feels as orchestrated as a the now common modern political hits.

If that happens, I think Kraft would be more hated in New England than Roger Goodell...
He was the most hated man in NE for many years after he drove tuna out of town...

Do you really think a 41 year old Brady can win a Superbowl with a run of the mil NFL coach, like John Fox?

I bet Tom would get old very quick without BB or Josh around.

I really think Tom Brady is a hell of a QB, and that it wouldn't "be 1997 all over again..." Where "win a Super Bowl" came into this, is something you'll have to ask yourself, because you were talking disaster, not Super Bowl.

That's one hell of a goalpost move, though.

Sounds like the Wells Report.:p

I will say this for the network who's 4 letters I refuse to type... They have a much better fiction department than they do sports journalism department.

Which Patriots coach' wife sent nude photos to other guys and then the coach shattered their pelvis in a bar fight while having a horrific relationship with their QB who was suspended for sexual assault? Gee the Patriots have some HUGE problems.

Hoping they destroy all these teams in the playoffs now. True or not i just don't see how they don't go out on top.

I'm not sure he was "hated". Once he started using stopwatches at draft tryouts, moving to Hartford and throwing back gin n tonics I was done w him.
