Malcolm Brown and Lawrence Guy have played exceptional of late, making the Pats very tough to run against between the tackles. Better job on the edge today as well expect for a play or 2.

They finished off allowing 18.5 ppg.

Take away the 14 points on TB12 fumble return vs HOU and the pick 6 vs BUF, they allowed 17.6 defensive points.

Furthermore, take away the first 4 games and they allowed 14ppg.

All that mattered today was a W and no major injuries. Hopefully with 2 weeks to rest and prep the offense gets the walking wounded back and gets a lot sharper. If not, no Super Bowl appearance this year.

A really satisfying game to watch (from the lazy boy) and see the Pats handily defeat the Jests without major injuries happening. Kudos certainly for J Harrison. In reality Pittsburgh after doing him the disservice, can see that he has refilled his energy tanks, has purpose in his game. And still has abilities to make plays. Good kicking too. On we go! Happy New Year ALL!

Go easy on me, I'm old.

I guess the reason I didn't put Cooks in there is because my expectations were so high.
Fair enough

I can understand that. I also thought he'd do more. But that doesn't alter the fact he had a very productive season.
I'd have to put him #1.
I think part of high expectations for him assumed JE11 would be playing. Julian, like Gronk and Lewis, opens up things for everyone else. Hopefully he returns close to his bad mofo self- I think then you'll see a lot more good things from cooks- along with having a full season under his belt with TB. Chemistry takes time- so does mastering the most complex offense in the NFL.
