Bert Breer wants beyond a reasonable doubt for overturning a call on the field. Yet, he seemed fine suspending a player four games based on more probable from a biased one-sided investigation.

He really is a puke. Plus, he's everywhere these days around here on TV and radio. On TV he has this ugly habit of alternating his eyes between the camera and the person(s) he's on the set with. It's likely he's been taught to do that, but he can't pull it off. He gives me the creeps.

Ironically apparently the NFL changed the rules for replay to not mention the phrase indisputable visual evidence anymore:

Pre 2016:

All Replay Reviews will be conducted by the Referee on a field-level monitor after consultation with the covering official(s), prior to review. During the review, the Referee will consult with designated members of the Officiating department at the League office. A decision will be reversed only when the Referee has indisputable visual evidence available to him that warrants the change.

Since 2016:

All Replay Reviews will be conducted by a designated member of the Officiating department at the League office. During the review, the designee shall consult with the Referee, who will have access to a hand-held, field-level device. A decision will be reversed only when there is clear and obvious visual evidence available that warrants the change. Prior to consulting with the Officiating department designee, the Referee will discuss the play with the covering official(s) to gather any information that may be pertinent to the review.

On some level this whole thing now also goes to show that broadcasting crews are apparently not schooled on rule changes too much because they keep referring to indisputable even though it is no longer part of the equation.

People that cry about these calls are stupid. On one hand they want purity of the game and good optics while rooting for incomplete passes to be touchdowns.

They may as well just say they want the pats to lose even if it means calling junk plays as good plays. I’m sure they’d be fine with that

Agreed. We've all heard and read the prevailing opinion about replay, namely, "Whatever it takes to get the call right." Of course, with most people (Patriot haters in particular) the additional, unstated proviso is, "as long as that call is the one I want to see." The fact is, that the recent replay calls have been the correct ones based upon how the rules are written. It's the particular rule that may suck as opposed to the particular replay call.
