Hogan out vs. Pittsburgh

Bet w ur head, not ur heart... Pittsburgh getting 3 at home Vs an injury riddled pats D and no hogan is smart $...perhaps Pats pull it off, but cards stacked against them bigly

The important thing is that they got to use him for 55 snaps last week, in a much less important game, when they had another option at WR. That's what really matters here: getting all those snaps against the Dolphins.

Wonder if hogan heads to IR...of course, Haden and JuJu Bee will probably play

Throws all the coverage to Gronk and Cooks. Danny and White are the trusted receivers remaining. Opportunities for Dorsett and Britt, but production hasn't been there. Real blow.

Don’t forget about amendola. I still think we can beat them without Hogan but it gets tougher with van noy, branch and him out.

This is actually good news. He isn’t ready. We have plenty of weapons within hogan and Britt most likely isnt one of them.

I see a big amendola game.

I agree. Having him play over Dorsett last week was sneakily one of the stupidest decisions of the coaching staff. Like Chatham said he was favoring his other shoulder, had issues blocking and seemed hesitant at times.

Whats the point of having him active if he is not even close to 50% ?

Game over. Maybe next year

Chris Hogan has never been the difference between victory and defeat.

We went 4-0 without him when he was injured. Calm the **** down.

Speaks volumes about the lack of confidence in Dorsett and signing of Britt. They rushed Van Noy back too because there is a desperate lack of depth. Will be a struggle.

It speaks to the coaches, trainers and medical staff completely misevaluating Hogans health and Hogan not being 100% forthcoming about it during the game. Toughing it out is a stupid idea if you are actively hindering your teams success.

Yes, todays game just got easier because a guy who had 9 catches for 180 and 2 tds Vs this same defense is not playing today... Gotcha

No Shazier, no Haden (at least, i don't think either are playing).

Without Shazier, the Steelers can be beat sideline-to-sideline - Baltimore did it last week and got over 500 yards of offense.

That should open it up for Lewis, White and Burkhead. And they'll need to double Cooks.

I also expect a steaming angry Gronk on the field.

Next man up. Pittsburgh isn't the bugaboo that many are worried about. I have lots of respect for them and, yeah, "on any given Sunday", but still and all the Steelers reliance on their WR's has resulted in a lot of drops and forced them to use their RB's a lot more than they'd probably have liked to.

If New England's defense steps up it's game, then they win, hands down.

Haden game time decision.

KVN definitely was a head scratcher.

Slater and Rowe are just unfortunate circumstances. Stuff always happens on ST and Rowe got his hamstring injury on the first play of the second half against the Panthers (?).

Haden game time decision.

Not that I expect that you read anything that people have been writing but Pittsburgh beat guys and La Canfora have said that he is not really expected to play this week.

hogan clearly was not 100% last week favoring his good shoulder. suffice to say he would not have put up those numbers if he is not 100%.

I forgot we haven't won any games without Hogan...oh wait, we went 4-0. clearly they rushed hogan back last week at less than 100% because of gronks absence and he didnt do much. 1 catch for 1 yard. Howe said patriots knew hogans shoulder needed some more rest.

Gronk/cooks/amendola/dorsett/lewis/white/burkhead/britt should still be enough weapons.

the addition of Gronkowski is MUCH bigger than the loss of hogan this week. especially if hogan was going to be a decoy like last week
